Tomoe sighs before shaking her head to the crew.
"Well, looks like you have more work to do Leeky."
"I know, and stop calling me that you Tigress!" Senku retorts with an eye roll, before walking out of the cave.
"Don't worry Tsukasa! Senku will definitely find a way to rescue everyone!" Taiju gave him a reassuring thumbs-up before he ran off to catch up with his best friend.
Tsukasa looked to the side, where Tomoe leaned against the walls and looked at the people in this cave.
"Soon." She says before smiling.
"Don't worry too much."
Knowing that she woke up first, it must've been a lonely and shocking experience. This cave is proof of her time here, where she managed to bring so many stoned people here and tried to save with nitric acid.
"Well, don't be late for dinner! I'm thinking of roasting deer today!" She waves before she walks out with a leaf in her mouth.
When it was just Tsukasa, he looked back at Mirai and then patted her head. He watches solemnly as the nitric acid drop onto her stone figure, and vows.
"I will save you."
"Okay, what are you doing now?"
Senku does not want to ask why she is standing on top of a giant tree with a bottle of wine.
In the middle of the night.
With him tucked between one of her arms.
Not only is this a waste of time, but god damn, why is her body so well-toned and full of muscle?! It's uncomfortable as hell!
"This tree is tree-mendous!"
"The hell?"
"C'mon, we have plant-y of time."
"Tigress...are you seriously-"
"I can't beleaf you interrupted me!" And she had the audacity to look shocked.
Was this because he hadn't gone out for exercise in a while? Was this the consequence of his avoidance?
Because if it is, Senku will never skip a run ever again.
"Why are you saying these terrible ass puns?! You're not 85!"
"What?! I'm at a moss for words!
This is a nightmare.
Senku wants to get out of here, pronto.
"Nuh uh, my nature puns are the best, you just can't bear it!"
Senku let out an irritated groan, leading to a laugh.
"Life's a birch isn't it? Leeky? That's why you should've have listened to me and go on a run with me!"
The next day, even if Senku was dying physically, at least he didn't lose 10 billion brain cells like the night before.
"Stop being a pain in the boat!"
"Shut up!"
