Author's Note:
Nature vs Nurture main story has officially come to an end! As well, I would like to say happy new year to all (2024)!
I know that many of you hoped for a sequel and for our favourite American characters to pop out in the main story, but unfortunately that will most likely not happen.
However, there will be side stories following this note that will include the American characters (Xeno and Stanley) because I love them too much to not include them at all.
Originally, I was planning on ending it with Tsukasa's arc and resolution, but extended it to Hyoga as I wanted to cleanly finish all the internal issues that occur within the Kingdom of Science.
I wanted to write a story that was fluffy but realistic, and dive into many of the unspoken details of what the petrification might have been like for a couple of young high schoolers or young adults.
Let's face it, we would probably struggle if this happened to us, whether it would be physical limitations, or mental insecurities. So I wanted to reflect these problems, and how much someone like Tomoe (a positive, smart and understanding adult) can change the story.
Obviously, anime logic still applies to this story, but still, writing small snippets of character relationships, their internal struggles, and decision making was what mattered to me more.
Hopefully this was enjoyable to read as it was enjoyable for me to write.

Side Story 1: Girl's NightClub
"As the President of the Girl's NightClub, I want to welcome back our founder, Tomoe!" Nikki proudly announced, and everyone clapped to welcome her back.
"Geez, you all are too sweet." Tomoe smiled sheepishly, but thanked them all. She took a seat next to Yuzuriha and Mirai like she used to, and noticed a lot of new faces in the club.
"What do you think!? We have a bigger hangout space in a bigger hut, and we have a lot more people!"
"It looks amazing. You worked hard." Tomoe praised, and Nikki beamed with her head held high.
The flickering glow of the lanterns in the middle of the circle painted a warm hue over all the girls in the camp. There were ten ladies in the hut, from Tomoe, Yuzuriha, Nikki, Mirai, to Kohaku, Suika, Ruri, Minami, Kirisame, and Homura.
"So what are we waiting for?" Tomoe grinned, before out of nowhere, she brought a ton of snacks that she definitely did not steal (oh she definitely did) from the storage house.
Homura and Kirisame were awkward at first, but with insistence from Nikki, they joined reluctantly.
Before they knew it, they were interested in the tea that was being spilt.
"Soooo, any love stories here?" Tomoe wiggled her eyebrows, and of course, Yuzuriha was the first victim.
"N-Nothing! W-We're just friends-"
"No you two held hands and even slept under the night stars side by side!" Mirai exposed easily, making Yuzuriha cover her mouth in embarrassment.
"Finally some progress, I knew you had it in you girl! Anyone else? What are y'all's types in men? We have a lot of new guys on board."
