Awoken by a thunderstorm; The best way to start my day, glancing over at my clock; "7:30" it read. "Oh shit." I gasped, school starts in 45 minutes. 'God
dammit, I slept in and Charlie didn't bother to wake me up.' Deciding wether I should move or not, I started to climb off my mattress. I mean, nobody would even notice if I was late anyways, not even teachers. Dressing myself I chose a brown and black stripped button up sweater that was tight-ish fitting and clung to my body, it's not like there was anything to be seen so it wouldn't matter. Dark blue jeans and a double ringed belt would match I hope. Running to my bathroom I tried to put on what makeup I could, concealer, mascara, and a little lipgloss would probably work. 'I mean, I'm just a dumb girl who wouldn't be noticed either way.' Thinking to myself I brush my chocolate brown hair thinking about what would happen today. What would happen this time when I went to sit at lunch? When there was no table available for me to sit at, would I have to sit next to a window? Skip and go to the library? Or sit in the bathroom? None of those sounded appealing. Sighing I put my old dirty shoes on and prayed nothing would happen today that could be seen as 'unusual' or 'weird' I guess that's all I am to people. Grabbing the keys to my rusty orangish red car I tried my hardest to not get wet from the humid, droplets showering from the dark clouds above.*8:15 am, hell.*
Arriving to school was the worst part of my day so far, there were little to no parking spots available and i continuously searched for one. Finding the usual one I would normally park at, there was another car. 'A new one?' That's all I could think of. "A grey Volvo?" I spoke aloud. Trying to find another spot the only one left was the one directly next to it, walking into the place was like trying to pick a needle out of a haystack. It was huge for such a small town, yet the year and a half I've been here I still haven't explored the full place. And I still haven't made friends. Not shocking at all, actually. The others that usually kept to themselves all looked rather excited. Actually paying attention for once, 'strange..' getting cut out of my thoughts I ran into someone I had never seen before, a pixie like figure right in-front of me. Rather short, black hair and a perfect nose. "I-I'm sorry." I almost yelled, turning a bright pink. "It's okay!" She smiled, "I'm Alice, and you are?" She questioned. Not knowing how to react, nobody's ever talked to me here, once. "I'm Bella- Isabella swan." I stuttered. My whole face was probably red at this point. "Would you rather be called Bella? Or Isabella?" The little fairy questioned more. She was very pretty, "Bella." I responded in more of a whisper."Well, Bella, I think we're going to be great friends."
"You want to be my friend?" I asked utterly shocked she was talking to me.
"Why wouldn't I be?" She responded her voice very soft. But very calming.
"I have never had a friend here, actually. Since I've moved nobody here has made an effort to actually talk to me." I half smiled, she frowned.
"I don't know why, you seem like the best person to be around, and you're very pretty." She complimented
I grew more flustered, nobody thinks of me like that either. "Thank you. — Alice, it really means a lot to me."
"No problem! Anyways Bella, what's your schedule for first hour?" She once again, questioned me. Though I didn't mind it, I was grateful someone was actually speaking to me.
"American history, you?" Responding begging to god she had at least one class with me.
"that's great! I'll be in a class with you and my brother! He's a bit non verbal at points but I'll introduce you to him." She said getting straight to the point.
"O-okay.." not wanting to be rude I just went along with it, I would be devastated to lose my only friend in the time span of the day I met her.
Walking into the classroom the fresh smell of September air fills the room. 'The windows open.' Thinking to myself I had no idea where to sit, at all. "Come sit by me!" Alice said pulling me by the arm to a three seated table. I sat on the very end, she sat in the middle and before the tardy bell rang, and before our teacher could come in to take roll. A boy walks in. Slicked back copper hair, and sage green eyes. I couldn't help but stare. Noticing my gaze he stared back but shot daggers at me through his look. Embarrassed, blood rushed too my cheeks extremely fast; looking like a big strawberry.
"Bella. Bella. Bella. BELLA." Alice whispered yelled shaking me, "hm?" Responding with a faint voice. I hadn't even realized I had put my head down, but I was listening for the most part. "Bella- I uh- I want you too meet my brother." She slightly stuttered.
My head shot up, almost too fast to be considered weird, And I think I'd be devastated if he thought I was weird. He probably already has a girlfriend though, so I wouldn't bother that. But finding out who this dazzling boy was could be very appealing. But I honestly shouldn't even be talking to him, I am an outcast. I'm surprised he even came to sit by me and Alice, I'm sure he's heard rumors about me already. Though I've never even spoke to people there are tons on me and "who I am" I guess. Although when I looked at him he seemed pretty interested in talking to me.
