I chewed on my lower lip, blinking back and frantically wiping at my glassy eyes that consisted of several tears that threatened to flow out at any moment. My chest tightened with pain, making it difficult to breathe.

The words, he rejected my gift...he threw it away... were the only thoughts inside of my mind.

I set my head down on my desk, silently sniffling and letting the salty liquid make its escape from my eyes. I felt embarrassed, knowing that Terry had probably heard my sobs by now, but it was inevitable.

Was I in the wrong for simply trying to make a friend? I don't understand...

The bell rang once again, signaling that it was lunch time. I sighed in relief, thankful that I would finally get to exit the suffocating classroom.

For most people, running to the cafeteria and meeting up with friends was an immediate reaction when the lunch bell rang. However, going to the rooftop and getting some fresh air was the only option for me, as it was completely empty and free of everyone else.

I sat down against the metal fence surrounding the roof, feeling the breeze harshly blow against my face. It's so windy outside this morning, I thought, pushing back pieces of my hair that were impacted by the large gusts of air.

I opened my lunch box, containing only a small sandwich and a juice box. I frowned, thinking about how I would have still had my goldfish had I not given them to the new student, only for them to be tossed into the trash can.

Trying to forget about the situation, I sighed and bit into my sandwich. However, as soon as I began drinking juice from my juice box, the entrance to the rooftop swung open.

The impact of the door slamming open sent a large gust of wind flying towards my sandwich, sending it plummeting through the air and slapping two unfamiliar faces with mayonnaise, bread, and cheese.

I immediately scrambled towards my lunch box, taking out several napkins and tissues and handing them to the two guys.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't realize that someone else was going to come up here!" I stared at the ground in guilt.

The taller of the two aggressively wiped his face with one of the napkins, spitting on it and throwing it on the ground at my feet after he was done.

"So, you think you own this entire rooftop? Bold of someone as petty as you, sitting alone with no friends to decide that."  He struck me across the face, leaving it stinging and burning.

"O-Of course I didn't think that! It's just that hardly a-anyone comes up here!" I stuttered, attempting to overlook the growing pain on my cheek.

The shorter of the pair released a snicker, "I guess this guy is one of those loners. Look at him, struggling to even speak without stuttering. How embarrassing, right Hyunjin?"

"Indeed, Jisung. I say, he deserves a couple of more blows to the face." Hyunjin chuckled and Jisung nodded.

After the confirmation from Jisung, Hyunjin balled up his fists, punching my face, making my entire body tremble and leaving searing pain in place of his knuckles.

I grunted and quickly scurried towards the door, but before I could escape, Hyunjin blocked the exit.

He smirked, "Where do you think you're going? We aren't done yet."

Without a warning, I felt a strong grip forming around my neck. Jisung stood behind me, strangling me aggressively as he dug his sharp nails into my skin. I desperately gasped for air, feeling my airways constrict as he suffocated me more and more every second.

Tears streamed out of my eyes as I felt the world rotating uncontrollably around me. However, before I could pass out, both Hyunjin and Jisung immediately ceased their actions, distracted by something else. Instead of choking me and guarding the exit, the pair began to scream uncontrollably.

I took a few steps back and rubbed my eyes, which were now widened by the scene ahead of me. Jisung and Hyunjin suddenly had completely misshapen arms, their bones pointing in bizarre directions. It had appeared that they dislocated their limbs.

Huh? How is that possible?! I scanned the rooftop for someone else, but nobody was there other than the three of us.

It was then that I briefly saw the silhouette of someone through the window. Yet when I went to take a closer look, it was gone.

Snapping back to reality, I realized that with Hyunjin and Jisung being distracted, this was my opportunity to escape. Not giving them time to react, I immediately grabbed my lunchbox and sprinted out of the room.

Twenty Minutes Ago...

As soon as the lunch bell rang, I witnessed Kai quickly scurrying out of the room to immediately get away from me.

That's good... I thought, He doesn't like me or want to befriend me anymore.

Despite my success in gaining Huening Kai's distrust in me, the slightest feeling of guilt bubbled inside of me when I remembered how we parted ways in the past, me leaving him injured all alone at the park.

I shrugged off the feeling, taking some Goldfish out of my pocket and munching it down.

School is so boring. What am I supposed to do this entire period? Sit around in this empty classroom. I groaned and pulled my hair out of frustration.

Out of curiosity, I strolled out of the classroom and went to the cafeteria, carrying my sketchbook with me. But there was nothing interesting there, either. Random obnoxious guys wrestling each other, people mixing food into the most outlandish combinations and forcing each other to eat it, gossip, all of the typical high school stuff that I wanted absolutely no part in.

Then I got another idea. There must be a rooftop in this school, right? That might be more interesting...

I sped out of the cafeteria and made my way to the top of the school building, peering through random classrooms on my way. However, when I reached the rooftop, I saw something unexpected.

Before I opened the door to the rooftop, I looked through a small window next to it. There I saw Huening Kai with two other guys accompanying him. Except they showed no sign of friendliness.

I watched as they repeatedly punched him on his face, leaving him with several bruises.

Then it hit me, this was my chance to pay Kai back for leaving him at the park...

I rapidly made brief sketches of both of the guys attacking him. When I took a moment to look up, I was even more appalled at the scene. One of the guys was choking Kai aggressively, while the other was cackling as he watched.

I continued my drawing, adding some finishing touches before including the most important part—the dislocated arms. I sighed and looked up, before seeing the pair's arms turn exactly how I drew them, causing them to scream in pain.

I snickered proudly before quickly exiting the area, hoping that nobody saw me.

That was fun. I have to do this more often from now on...
