𝘹𝘹-𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘸𝘯 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦-𝘹𝘹 [𝘈 𝘛𝘟𝘛 𝘍𝘢𝘯𝘍𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯]

𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳

I followed my daily routine; eating breakfast, going on the bus, and finally, entering the school building.

Going to school wasn't a particularly enjoyable experience, at least for me. I sat down at my desk and watched as my classmates, Yeonjun and Beomgyu fought each other. I noticed other classmates such as Soobin watching anime on their phones, he was watching Bunny Girl Senpai.

Man, it must be fun having friends. I thought, fidgeting with a pencil and sketching random doodles on pieces of homework.

As soon as the teacher strolled in, the classroom went quiet. Yeonjun and Beomgyu stopped fighting, taking their seats immediately, and Soobin slammed his phone screen down on the desk.

"Class, I have an announcement to make! We have a new student! He came from Australia, apparently. Be nice to him!" Mr. Min Yoongi yelled.

Huh? A new student in the middle of the year from Australia? That's pretty random... I thought.

"Come in, kiddo" He gestured to the student to enter the classroom. "This is Kang Terry! Say hello to everyone!"

The student bowed respectfully, "Hi, I'm Kang Terry. Uh, I like to draw I guess."  He shrugged and turned to the teacher.

Mr. Min Yoongi scanned the classroom for an empty seat. "Hmm let's see...you can sit next to Huening Kai!" The student's expression was visibly distorted to one that appeared to be distressed.

"Hey, wanna be friends?" I smiled at Terry, extending out a hand to shake with him.

He glared at me and ignored my hand, looking in the direction of the teacher.

I frowned, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." I faced away from him and looked out of the window.

The rest of the class went by in silence, with Terry not uttering a single word towards me, and me not speaking to him, either.

However, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something off about all of this.

My worst fear had come true. Kai was going to the same school as me. What was even worse was that he sat right next to me.

What if he finds out who I am...I have to avoid him as much as possible.

Suddenly, a random obnoxious looking guy made his way over, "Hey Terry! You're the new student, right? We should become best buds. I'm Beomgyu!"

"Uh, no sorry. I have a lot to do everyday so we couldn't possibly spend time together" I said while scratching my head.

"Oh c'mon bro! Let go of life and enjoy the little things! You only live once!" Beomgyu performed a strange dance move, attempting to get a laugh out of me.

"I already said no. Leave now."

"Fine. You are boring..." He pouted as he joined some other dude in the classroom doing strange dances.

If I use that journal, he will be my first victim. I thought, grumbling insults towards him under my breath.

I heard a subtle thud sound on my desk. Huening Kai placed a small pack of Goldfish snacks on my desk with a note written, saying, "I'm sorry that I didn't have the best first impression on you. Here is a snack to cheer you up! :)"

I should throw this snack out I thought, but my stomach said otherwise, releasing some deep growls. I can't eat this in front of him or else I'll gain his trust! I need to find another way to eat it...

I got up from my seat and walked up to the trash can in the corner of the classroom. I Pretended to throw away the small snack packet when Huening Kai faced my direction, but snuck a few Goldfish into my pocket. He looked away from me, a hurt expression on his face.

I guess I've lost his trust for now...
