Timeline: 2019

IT'S BEEN THREE MONTHS since I received a role offer for the upcoming survival Japanese series that will be under Netflix. Apparently, it is called Alice in Borderland. From the script that was sent to me a week after I sent my reply of confirmation that I accepted the role. The series centers on the main character Arisu who suddenly got transported to a parallel world of Tokyo, where they need to play games that may cost their life.

I was handed a role for Ruka, a supporting cast. I have no potential love interest in my character but from what I reviewed I will be having some intense scenes.

By intense, I meant the action and the tense scenes.

Soumi-unnie and Miwa praised me for my acting skills, as they say, I have an aura for action films and that they are not surprised that the director saw that potential in me. I am still having a hard time believing them but I guess I do have some flair for it. Let's stay positive for now.

"How are you feeling?"

"Nervous," I answered Mio-san. She will be my temporary manager since Hyung can't leave the group. So, Mio-san became my manager for this gig.

"Are you fluent in Japanese?" she asked starting our conversation.

I nod my head, "Well I am Japanese and I am pretty confident with it. But I admit that I might be a little rusty" I scratched my head to hide my embarrassment. I heard her chuckle at what I said.

"For someone who is rusty. You sure are doing it so well."

Living in Korea since I was 16 when I started the training and until in present time where I am now an adult. I don't know if my Japanese is still okay.

Her comment just boosted my confidence. Thank you so much, Mio-san.

"Where are we heading again?" I asked totally forgetting about the schedule.

Since we just got a comeback. We just finished the promotions earlier. Unfortunately, today was also the day that I need to fly to Japan for the script reading and for the artists to meet each other.

Approximately, I might stay in Japan for about 4-5 months. Depends if the filming schedule change.

After our group comeback. The other members were also given solo activities like me. I am so happy for them and even if I am not with them literally, I am cheering for them.

"First, we will be landing in Shibuya to meet with the production and the cast. Then after that, you said that you will be staying on a relative for a few days before we will follow the production's instructions for the film locations."

She handed me the schedule. I looked at it and I don't have much to do when I arrive in Japan other than that.

My older brother is staying here in Shibuya. Believe it or not, he is actually part of an idol band and they are called the 5WIRL. The band has been around since I was still in high school and when I got accepted in CS Ent. they also ventured the journey of entertainment, and eventually they also became a worldwide idol band stars. I am so proud of them.

It didn't take too long for us to reach Japan. We landed and now we are heading to the van that will direct us to the meeting place. After I sat down, I retouch myself following Miwa and Woo's advice.
