"OH, HELL NO!" A loud, booming voice I could recognize from a thousand miles away was heard throughout the hall, all heads turned in direction of the voice, including mine, followed by a few confused stares as my best friend came in my direction, fuming, smoke practically coming out of her ears as she gripped my arm, sending me a piercing glare "A word?" she hissed and I nodded with a giggle as I turned to face everyone in the hall who was still staring at us, Danielle turned to face everyone and flipped them off, followed by exclaiming "Mind your own business people! Run along!" I shook my head with a smile before turning to face her with a wide grin "You've been avoiding me since yesterday and I definitely know something is up! I can see it in your eyes!" she accused and I laughed loudly before she groaned while whining "Tell me! I want to know!"
"Okay!" I laughed and she urged on with an excited smile "When I came to your house yesterday morning, it was because I had fallen asleep at Luke's." she squelaed
"You guys have nicknames for each other now? I like it!" she whispered to herself and then grinned "DID YOU DO THE NASTY?!" She gasped loudly and I shook my head wildly with a laugh, she pouted in response "Oh great, here I was hoping he had deflowered you or something." she muttered and I giggled "Fine, you had a sleepover, whoope." she muttered "Continue."
"And then yesterday after school I wen to watch him fight. In an underground club." I said and she grinned widely
"I knew those rumours were true!" she exclaimed while clapping her hands excitedly "Okay, after that?" she asked and I bit my lip as I blushed "Shut up, did you kiss him?!" she exclaimed and I shook my head "What then?!" she exclaimed "You didn't have sex or kiss, so what happened?"
"Hey." A voice said from behind, causing me to jump as I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist, I turned my head and faced Luke who smiled at me brightly
"Okay, now I'm confused." Dinah muttered, crossing her arms over her chest "You two are a thing now or what?! SOMEONE EXPLAIN!" She bellowed and I laughed loudly as I untangled myself from Luke's grip and standing beside him as his arm snaked around my waist "El, my head is spinning." she whispered as she brought her hands up to her temples
"Not a thing yet, but the feelings are out there." Luke said, grinning down at me as I blused, Dinah's jaw dropped as she pointed her finger at me, mumbling incoherent words
"I-I y-you said, you s-said-" she stuttered and I giggled
"Breathe, D." I said, I heard her take a Deep breath as she closed her eyes before pointing her finger at me
"You said you didn't like him." she accused and I shrugged "You filthy liar."
"Okay, now I'm ofended, again." Lucas said as he looked down at me and tilted his head to the side "Here I was thinking that you have always been obsessed with me." he said and I scoffed slightly
"Please, if anyone's obsessed it's Dinah." I said and she shrugged, agreeing "Which by the way, I believe you both haven't been properly introduced." I said and they both nodded "Lucas, this is my best friend in the whole world, Dinah." I said with a grin and she glared at him
"And I will happily break that pretty little face of yours if you break her heart." she stated, sending him another menacing glare as she pointed her finger at him "Boxer or not." she muttered and I laughed slightly

"I feel like we haven't hung out like this in so long." Dinah said with a sigh as she looked around my room with a peaceful smile "You know, with you using me as your cover from your parents to go hang out with your new potential boyfriend and all." she muttered casually as she flipped through a magazine as I munched on a couple of chips I had found downstairs "But in all seriousness, I really am happy for you, though." she said, reaching out for my hand and giving it a squeeze "He really does seem like a great guy." she said and I chuckled as I shook my head
"You have no idea." I whispered and she smiled softly
"You really like him, don't you?" she whispered and I nodded softly, blushing at the thought "Aw, El." she cooed "Do you know what this means?!" she squealed "He could be your first everything!" she gasped "This is huge."
"Whoa, don't get ahead of yourself, D." I chuckled and she pouted "We aren't even dating yet."
"I know, I'm just excited for you." she squealed "Now I feel lonely." she pouted and I chuckled in disbelief "I need to find me a boyfriend, El." she said with a flip of her hair "Been single for too long." she muttered "Maybe I should start working on that." she muttered to herself with a thoughtful expression, I chuckled at her; there was a knock at my door, and my mom popped her head in, sending us a smile
"How are you girls doing?" she asked and we smiled back at her
"Great mom, just talking." I said with a grin as Dinah nodded
"Well, dinner's ready, so you can come downstairs." she said and we both nodded as she closed the door behind her
"When are you going to tell them?" Dinah muttered and I sighed deeply, rubbing the back of my head with a frown as I shrugged
"I honestly don't know." I sighed and she looked at me while shrugging
"Well, I think you should do it soon, before things get out of hand." she said and I nodded softly, in agreement "You've already been sneaking around and just to hang out." she said with a shrug "What happens when you guys are actually together?"
