His Eternal Mate

chapter seven

It had been weeks since sesshomarus arrival within Shania's household. To say he had grown close to her was an understatement and right now he was very close to snarling at the man standing just inside the door of his home. Apparently, one of Shania's friends had set her up for a blind date. he was not liking this one bit as he stared down the man with disdain.
     The human took a nervous step back before turning his eyes to Shania as she entered the room. sesshomaru turned his head to look at Shania and froze. She wore a white kimono style top with his design. The red Sakura blossoms in hexagons staring back at him and a similar purple and yellow sash wrapped around her waist. Her hair was brushed back revealing both shaved sides and a bun twisted up held by a crescent moon hair piece. her  jeans hugged her curves from her waist down to her claves where she had pulled on a pair of black boots. even her makeup held similar colors to his markings.
     sesshomaru felt a stir of pride and moved over to her nudging her leg with his head gently. she smiled and leaned down to pet him , sliding her fingers through his fur gently. she then turned her attention to the man before her as he spoke "is THAT what you're wearing ?"

     sesshomaru turned a glower to the man lifting his upper lip in a small snarl. how dare this human question his mate... wait.. when had he begun to see her as such? shaking his head he sat down next to her as she stood back up with an unimpressed look on her face. " I wasn't aware that I had to pretend to be someone I'm not. if that's the case then you can leave, I've had enough red flags in my face to last a life time." the man threw his heads up in surrender with wide eyes " no, im sorry I didn't mean for it to come out like that. so that's my fault entirely. I'm honestly just surprised to see someone so blantaly rock those colors together. " sesshomaru tilted his head as the human males aura shifted a little revealing yoki.
     He felt his own yoki respond stirring beneath the surface as he stiffened. the male froze and turned his wife eyes to sesshomaru with his mouth dropping open before pulled his yoki back in submission. So the male recognized sesshomarus yoki. interesting. "so shall we go?" he heard Shania say , causing the male to nearly jump before looking back and forth between him and her. " uh sure, yeah." then with that they stepped from the house leaving sesshomaru with more questions than answers.

Shania sighed and sat down in her seat at the restaurant and once again glanced at Kalen who seemed to be glancing around nervously. She had noticed some glances here and there in her direction. which , had quite frankly puzzled her. perhaps wearing sesshomarus colors had been to bold but, it had felt right. she picked up her menu and picked out what she wanted before looking back up and around. she felt like she was being watched again.
    she met cool brown eyes across the room held by a man with a sharp jaw structure. his black hair was pulled back in a loose braid resting in his shoulder.

His clothing , she could tell was not cheap, was a black suit, white shirt,  with a red tie. As their eyes met she felt a shiver rush over her spine and her mouth went dry like cotton. She couldn't form a coherent thought as this male lifted his head with a small smirk before shifting his gaze to Kalen across from her. she watched Kalen suddenly tense and clear his throat before lifting his menu and ducking to look at it sheepishly. Her lips thinned as she realized something else entirely was going on. and Kalen was definitely intimidated.
    While Shania hadn't wanted to come on this date she did not like that the poor guy was being intimidated somehow. she turned her eyes back to the man across the room with an unimpressed look and this seemed to make his grin grow bigger.. oh he knew what he was doing. shaking her head she turned her attention back to her date who seemed to be gulping for air. " let's go somewhere else." she said .
He seemed to jump " um actually I need to go. I'm very sorry , here's a few dollars to get you an Uber home. " and with that he all but fled the room leaving Shania with her mouth dropped open in shock. What the absolutr hell had just happened ?
   Before she could completely process that her dad had dipped on her the man from across the room sat down in front of her and placed his hands together on he table. she jerked her eyes from his hands up to his eyes with a glower. " it wasn't very nice to intimidate my date . however you managed to do it anyway."
   He quirked his eyebrow " I apologize I was unaware he would leave you stranded with no way home." her eyes narrowed at him . he was very familiar and she hated she couldn't place where they had met. " have dinner with me and I'll give you a lift home?" he asked her starling her from her thoughts. she sighed , " fine . but, only because I'm hungry."
    her comment made him chuckle as he picked up the forgotten menu as a waiter made their way to the table. she ordered the yakisoba chicken with a side of white rice and teriyaki vegetables. and to drink she ordered a coke. the man across from her ordered a medium rare hibachi style steak over white rice with a glass of rioja red wine.
she eyed him as they ate "so, what is your name?" he paused at this and turned his eyes to her "Mikazuki tadeo, and yours?"  " Shania Jones" she replied before nibbling at her chicken.
   two hours later she sat in her yard in the car with mikazuki. she sighed and turned her eyes from the house to him " the evening was pleasant. thank you."
   He nodded and smiled a bit " you're very welcome." she tilted her head "will we be seeing each other again? " His smile broke into a grin " I assure you we will be seeing plenty more of each other." she nodded and jotted her number down handing it to him. he took it gently and as his hand brushed hers she felt goosebumps shoot up her arms and tingles shot down her spine.
  Shania watched as he exited the car and made his way around to open her door. she watched as muscles beneath the jacket of his suit. as he opened the door she stepped out grasping the hand offered and looked up at him. somewhere in the back of her mind the black hair and brown eyes just didn't suit him.
As she opened the door her dog shot out and was on immediate alert growling at Mikazuki. his teeth flashed as he practically wrapped himself around her watching him with a dark look.  " I'm sorry he's normally more laid back. he's been tense ever since Kalen was here earlier." she watched as his eyes met sesshomarus and the growling slowed until it ceased.  he glanced back up and gave her a smile " it was a pleasure meeting you and your dog . what is his name again?"
   Shania cleared her throat and slid her hand into the fur at her side " his name is sesshomaru . like from the anime" her cheeks tinged pink . "Ah, the name suits him. I will call you some time and perhaps we can eat together again."  she watched as he turned and made his way back to the car noting sesshomarus posture was rigid and he was leaning more into as if to soothe her nerves. "well, let's go inside and watch TV since the boys are at their dad's"
