Shania frowned at the person before her. Of course, it was herself in the mirror. Her blue eyes looked tired. After all she was. Shaking her head she finished brushing her hair and left the room. Her sons were already in school and her roommates sat in the living room watching TV . Shania and  jasmine were artists who made a living selling the things they had made. Jackson worked at the local airport as head of security. He also worked with shanias now ex husband and trust in this, they no longer got along. She filled her bowl with grits, eggs , and bacon . She then stirred it together and sat down with the others and nibbled at it. They had recently gotten her to start truly eating again after going nearly six months with barely eating much. She had lost alot of weight and she now barely fit her old clothes except for her bra. Sighing she stood and took her now empty bowl to the sink and rinsed it then placed it in the open dishwasher that jasmine would start while she was gone.
Shania smiled at the others as she made her way to the door with her purse and keys. They had all come to a decision to get a dog that they could hopefully train to help with raiden, her autistic son. Once she made it to the car she climbed in and buckled up before starting the car. Then with a final wave to her friends she pulled out and made her way to the animal shelter.

Shania smiled at the worker as they opened the door to the animal rooms. She entered and winced at all the yipping and barking. Many of them would be to much for raiden to handle. Their barking likely would send him into a sensory overload. Especially the high pitched ones. She looked at each dog for what seemed like hours and sighed about to give up hope. However, when her eyes landed on the last cage her eyebrows scrunched up. It was very quiet. She silently made her way to the cage and gaped at the dog within. The markings on the dog seemed very familiar to her. Almost like... No, he had to have belonged to someone obsessed with sesshomaru from the anime inuyasha. She squatted down before smiling "ya know you remind me of an anime character I'm fond of." The dogs gold eyes watched her with both annoyance and curiosity. "You kinda remind me of sesshomaru the great dog demon lord of the west. " The dog shot up into a standing position before trotting over to her. His eyes now seemed to be in tune with her every move. Normally she would be nervous if she was studied with that intensity. "From looking at you you're definitely highly intelligent. You're also very calm and quiet which is exactly what I'm looking for.. " she stood as the dog seemed to watch her. " I think I found the one. This one here. " The worker seemed to blanch "we haven't tested to see how he acts with children yet." Her eyes turned cold "I assure you , just from studying how he acts, he will be fine with my son's but, I'm not about to leave him here. From looking at the state of his fur he hasn't been properly cared for which is unacceptable" the dog seemed to growl in agreement. The worker nodded and went to grab a collar she shook her head " that won't be necessary I came prepared." She removed the black color from her purse and gently fitted it to the dogs throat as the gate was opened "I'm getting you out of here and I promise were gonna make sure your fur is back to beautiful and soft as I imagine it should be." The dog gently nudged her with his head and huffed.
----sesshomarus pov------
He was definitely pleased with this change. He hadn't had much interest in the human when he first saw her. However, she knew him. Apparently the witch hadn't lied about sending him to another dimension. He wasn't supposed to truly exist here except in some anime. His eyes drifted over the female . She was beautiful he would admit and her scent was far more than pleasing. He stayed close to her as she made her way to the front. The leash prevented him from leaving her side but, he wasn't truthfully worried about it. He had been here nearly three months and had heard the workers discussing euthanizing him which, he had learned from the scattered thoughts of the many dogs around him, meant they were going to kill him. He wanted so much to rip them to shreds for the amount of disrespect to him they showed. Chuffing he sat as she came to a stop at the desk and began filling out paperwork . "So what are you planning on naming him?" The worker asked. He wanted to roll his eyes. He already had a name . " I think. The name sesshomaru fits him." The woman replied. His eyes shot to her and his ears twitched. He was definitely pleased she had not decided to give him a stupid name. Once the paperwork was done the woman handed them a card along with it and the worker left for several minutes before returning with the paperwork and a shiny strip of metal. The woman put the card in her bag and turned to him with the strip "this has your name on it along with my address. It's for purposes of making sure everyone knows what to call you and know where you live ." Her voice was gentle as she placed the tag onto the collar and he nudged her . Her scent called to him and he slowly realized that perhaps this female is why he was sent here and perhaps she was his ticket home. Though he doubted he would leave her or her son's when he left. Over the years he had grown soft towards some humans. Much to his brothers and the mikos surprise. When she stood he did as well and he followed her from the building. His eyes landed on the vehicle before them and she turned to look at him "front seat or back?" She opened both doors and he tilted his head before gently leaping into the front seat and sat down. She smiled as if he had passed a test and closed both doors before making her way over to the seat next to him. When she cranked the vehicle he tilted his head at her sigh... "I need a favor. I understand if you aren't willing. And I know you understand me. I can tell by your body language and eyes. ... I have two sons. Both are my world but, my oldest . He's autistic as well as non verbal. Ever since his father left us he's fell back into himself. He used to speak but, now he doesn't. " Sesshomaru tilted his head letting her know he heard her . "Please if you can. Give him someone to lean on. He already leans on myself and his brother but, he's different and outside of our home it's hard for him. Hell it's hard for me. But, everything can be to much and overload his senses. When this happens I need help from you to calm him. If you're willing to help that is. " He huffed realizing that this woman cared alot for her children. So much so she was willing to ask for help. He chuffed and nudged her with his nose. He would help he decided. Then with that she out the car into gear and they left the building behind.
