Chapter 1: I don't even know his name

"This is the last box Audrey"

"Thanks so much for your help Uncle Sam!" Audrey said with a smile as she took the box from him.

"I'll be heading home now. Stay safe, alright? If there's anything, I'm just a phone call away" Sam said and messed up Audrey's hair.

Sam hugged Audrey and kissed her forehead. "You've grown up to a beautiful young lady, Audrey. May god bless you always"

Audrey hugged her Uncle Sam back and whispered a "thank you" only loud for him to hear.

As he made his way to his car, he waved goodbye one last time before driving away. With her hands tightly holding the box, Audrey watched his car go further away from where she is until it disappeared.

She sighed. "I'm gonna miss him lots"

Placing the box down for a moment to sweep her bangs away from her view, she picked up the box and hurriedly went inside their new home.

Audrey and her mom, Isabella stood behind the front door and scanned through the house.

"It's pretty empty, isn't it?" her mom nudged her shoulder.

"Yes, mom. It is." Audrey giggled and looked at the 4 medium boxes in the middle of the empty living room.

"We should go for some furniture shopping."

"Yes. Yes we should"

Ever since Audrey's parents got divorced, her mom got really devastated. Her mom was so upset because she loved her dad so much. Isabella tried her best to move on but it's not that easy for her.

They had been happily married for 17 years. Audrey came into their lives a year after their marriage. The three of them were such a happy family but at one point, it started to fall apart. Her mom did everything she could do to keep their family together.But eventually, it just led to divorce.

Her Uncle Sam ( Isabella's older brother ) invited them to live with him and his wife until both of them has fully recovered from the hard face of life they're going through. The 4 of them lived happily together under one roof for 2 years until today.

Uncle Sam and his wife is expecting their first child. Not wanting to be anymore burden for them, her mom decided that they should move out. Her Uncle Sam insisted that it's perfectly fine for them to stay but her mom insisted on moving out so that he and his family could live more comfortably.

And from that, it leads to the present.
