Chapter 3.

Eren struggled freeing his arm. "E-E-Eren! R-run!" Armin shouted, struggling and pounding his closed fists on the titans gigantic fingers. "Armin! Hold on!" Eren gritted his teeth and got ready to bite down hard on his hand. But the titan suddenly stopped and stood gazing at the horizon. Eren was confused at first but then noticed white steam coming out of it's nape. "Eren?" Armin looked at him, confused. 

W-who was that?! Eren clenched his fist and felt his bandages become warm and soaked with blood. He shook his head..now his main priority is..

"Armin! Are you okay?" Eren said shooting his ODM gear into the titan's arm and retrieving Armin from the titan's clenched fists. He fastened Armin on his back and clicked him in place. 

"We cross the forest right?" Eren said, "Yes just keep going forwards!" Armin yelled. Eren used his ODM gear to it's fullest, going from tree to tree as quickly as he could.

It was as if he was trying to run away from all his problems..all his failures..everything that bothered him..

I couldn't even save Armin! Eren thought, he felt like punching himself in the face. The wind blew hard against Eren's face. Eren was so deep in thought that he didn't notice the titan peeking at them from behind the tree closest behind him. It was when Armin yelled; "Eren don't stop!" "Huh?!..Why?" 

BOOM...BOOM...BOOM...BOOM

The ground shook like there was an earthquake, Armin held his breath. "Just keep going and don't s-slow down!" Eren now terrified starting picking up the pace. The wind slapped him in the face and made it hard to breathe. 

BOOM..BOOM..BOOM..BOOM

"They're getting closer and the fuel is almost gone!" Eren shouted out angrily and shot up the highest tree and nested on one of the high branches above. He slipped Armin off of him and looked down. "That's..." Eren's voice faltered. "They're..."" Armin glanced frantically behind him. Titan's were swarming them from every side. It wouldn't be long until one started climbing the other.. Eren looked down at them, cringing.

"Shit?!" Eren screamed out angrily. "W-what is it?" Armin scooted a few inches farther away from him. "The signal flare I got is fucking gone!" Eren felt something fall from the tree's leaves above them. He caught it. 

A signal flare?! 

"I thought you said..What ever! J-just use it!" Armin shouted.

"I'm working on it!!" Eren shouted back and Armin gritted his teeth.

He held one hand up to hold the signal flare gun high and the other to cover his ears from the big boom. Armin covered both of his ears and grimaced for him to shoot it. 

BOOOOM!

"Now we just hope they see the red smoke before we both turn into titan appetizers." Eren said, sitting down and handing Armin a piece of meat and bread Sasha stole for them from HQ, smiling brightly like he found death amusing.
