Ryan POV

The next morning was iffy.

I woke up in bed alone, sitting up I sighed as the boys slept downstairs with Maurice.

     I wanted him to sleep with me, but the tension between us was heavy still. Going to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and washed up quickly.

  Slipping on some gray shorts, I put one of Maurice's shirts on as an indication that I was extending the olive branch.

   Spraying some pound cake perfume on me, I left my curls messy just like he liked them.

I was definitely trying to appeal to his better nature, I knew our conversation today was going to be tough.

Senia: hey girl." she smiled as I came down my steps. It was kind of pitiful that I was the last one up in my own house.

Senia: the boys cooked some breakfast." she said pointing at the stove.

   I looked over as the smell of bacon hit my nose. Peeling the aluminum back, I smiled as I could tell by the texture of the bacon, that Maurice prepared it.

Me: where are they?" I asked, grabbing a plate.

China: girl they are outside playing around." she pointed out as I looked.

   I watched as Maurice ran past the glass door with a football as Dion and Reggie tried to keep up.

   Looking at the time, I was appreciative of their dedication. It was 10am, and they were out running plays.

China: so we were thinking of going to get our nails done today." she said as I chewed on some bacon.

Nique: that was the plan but the boys want to go to Benny's Arcade." she said.

  I looked over at Senia as her smile slowly faded.

Nique:..but we told them to pick something else." she said as we read Senia's expression.

Senia: we can go, it's no worries." she lied.

Me: we can find something else." I said. She smiled small as the back door opened.

Jordan: shit it's hot out there." he said as they came in.

   Their immediate stench made my nose scrunch as they walked in. I kept my head down as Maurice spotted me.

Diana: y'all stink." she said as they closed the door.

Ace: shut up before I rub it on you." he teased as Diana laughed. I smiled as he tackled her, rubbing his sweat on her as she yelled out.

  Laughing a little more, I felt his presence approaching me as he came up behind me. He stunk a little, but it was a good stench.

I could still smell his sweet cologne as he stole a bacon from my plate.

Me: how do you know I wasn't going to eat that." I blushed as he pressed his bare chest to my back.

Maurice: I didn't but I took it, you wanna fight about it?" he said. I laughed as he intimidated me.

Maurice:..you want to talk?" he said as we stopped laughing.

Me:..yeah, yeah we can talk." I said.

Maurice:..come on." he said.

       Taking another bacon from my plate, he grabbed my hand and led me upstairs. The sound of everyone talking disappeared as we entered my room.

Letting go of my hand, he swayed into my room as I closed the door. Turning to him, I caught his stare as he glared at my bathroom.

   I could see his jaw flexing as he stared at the counter where me and that guy were.
