I wake up as Neteyam pushes me, saying, "Laya, get up, we have training."

I groan and mutter, "Leave me alone," and then I turned over.

Neteyam picks me up, and I shout, "Neteyam, if you don't put me down right now!" He chuckles.

Kiri laughs and i say "Kiri, stop laughing at me and help me!" I scream.

Neteyam finally puts me down, and I push him, saying, "You asshole!" He says "Hey, don't speak to me like that," while I roll my eyes.

Just then, the girl walks into the room and asks, "Is everyone ready for lessons?" I roll my eyes and mutter, "God."

Neteyam pushes me out the door, saying, "Come on, grumpy."

We start walking with everyone else, and eventually, we jump into the water.

Neteyam grabs my hand and asks, "Together?" I smile and reply, "Together."

Lo'ak rolls his eyes.

As we swim around, we take in the beautiful underwater scenery.

Suddenly, my lungs start to sting, and I begin coughing as we make our way back up to the surface.

We stick our heads back underwater, and the girl signals something to us. We simply ask, "What are you saying?"

We go back to the surface and I look around, trying to catch my breath.

The girl swims up to us and asks, "Are you all alright?"

"Wait for us! You're going too fast!" Tuk whines while removing water from her eyes.

"Just breathe," the girl advises, trying to make the young girl feel at ease with a smile.

"You guys don't do well diving. Maybe you're good at swinging through trees, but-" The girl interrupts, slapping his head, and he looks at her, visibly annoyed.

I chuckle, and he smiles back at me. Neteyam rolls his eyes and raises his hand, tapping it in a way we don't understand.

"Look, we don't understand this finger talk. We don't know what you're saying," he says .

The girl replies, "I will teach you."

Rotox exclaimed, "Where's Kiri?" I heard a distant sound and looked over. "Where is Kiri?" I asked, turning to Neteyam. "I dove underwater, searching and searching, but I couldn't find her."

Panic started to set in, and my lungs began to sting, but I was determined to find Kiri.

Suddenly, two hands grabbed my arms and pulled me towards the surface. I coughed and asked, "Why would you do that? I was looking for her." Neteyam responded, "We already found her; she was just exploring."

I let out a sigh of relief and said, "Okay."

Lo'ak asked, "Are you okay?" I simply replied, "Yeah," and walked off, getting out of the water.

Lo'ak glanced at Neteyam and said, "I'll check on her."

Neteyam nodded in agreement.

Tsireya approached Neteyam and asked, "Is she okay?" He nodded in response, hoping that I was indeed fine.

Lo'ak walked after me, calling out, "Laya, wait!" But I continued walking faster, determined to keep my distance.

"Laya, stop!" he pleaded, pulling my arm and forcing me to face him.

He looked at me, concern  in his eyes. "What's going on with you?" he asked.

I stared back at him and replied, "Nothing," yanking my arm away.
