Draxum is preparing a gift for his turtle son, a pair wrist cuffs and a collar, each one has a very unique feature, like:
The collar has a communicator Michael can use to get in touch with him anywhere at any time he wants, including a PANIC button that if pressed, it notifies Draxum that his son needs him urgently, it's meant to be used in dangerous situations, the collar also has a tracker for Draxum to keep track of where his boy goes when he's out of his sight.
Both of the cuffs together kinda works like a cellphone, which in this case means that one can record videos and audios, while the other takes pictures and even write notes, basically a camera, a voice recorder and a note app, it wasn't much but it was still pretty useful at times.
As Draxum started to pack the gifts, huginn and muginn appeared, and brought up how much their boss had changed since he became a dad, going from a cold and unfeeling alchemist whose only wish was to end humanity, to a loveable and sweet parent who cares for his child the best he can as well as still working on the downfall of the human race, Draxum acknowledges their statement by realizing that he really has changed, maybe for the better? All because of that little box turtle, who's bright and warm light brought life to a dark moment of his life, and he continues on leading him into the light with a passionate smile and soft heart.
Michael was growing up, and as he did, so did his father's love for him, he quite literally became the center of his world, his love and hope for Draxum brought him a better side to him, and he liked it, even if he wasn't too flashy or clingy to his son as much as he was to him, he still had his own ways of showing love in a way that pleased his son's demands of emotional closure and their father and son connection was great too, everything was fine, Michael woke up right on time and as always, went to the kitchen to get some breakfast, only to come face to face with a present for him waiting on the table, IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY!!!
Draxum congratulated his son and the two of them decided to go out together to celebrate his son's 12th birthday, so Huginn and Muginn get the rest of the day off where they decide to go around town to relax, the two of them decide to go to the surface to hang out, and as they went out of the hidden city, they steal some donuts and hide on the rooftop of a building where they just casually chill there as two best friends would, until Muginn sees something odd from afar, he warns Huginn about it and the two of them finish their snacks and then go check up on what is going on up there, they sneak around for a bit and manage to catch a glimpse of what looks like a bunch of humanoid like turtles, after a couple of minutes of some serious amount of thinking later, they come to the conclusion that those turtles are the other turtles their boss lost so many years ago, they flee the scene without being even spotted by the group of teenager turtles that were having a small pizza party with their human friend, April O'Neil, but that's not relevant in the moment.
The two henchmen hurry home to call their boss to tell him about the now found turtles and ask what they should do about it, when Draxum found out about this he turned to his son, who was playing around with a teddy bear he found lost in a park, he took it for himself since there was no one with it, finders and keepers rule, Draxum puts him hand on Michael's shoulder and looks at him for a moment, the little boy could almost tell that there was something going on just by looking into his father's eyes, the two immediately go home knowing that there is a big deal going on in Draxum's mind and Michael knows he's about to receive some crazy news soon.
Upon arriving home, Michael goes to his dad's bedroom and sit on his bed to wait for him, Draxum gets some papers from his Lab's "office" and heads to the room, he takes a second before entering the room, but once he does, he sits down by the side of his son and hesitantly tells him the story of the day of his creation also handing him the papers he wrote on it, of course, both in his own version, where he was planning on mutating, not only him, but three other turtles, but his best friend who was going to have his DNA fused with theirs, betrayed him and took the other turtles as soon as they were all mutated, but he fortunately left Michael behind on his way out, probably accidentally but anyway, due to the destruction of his lab, for many years he believed they were all gone, or dead, or both, but today, his henchmen called him with big news, they actually survived, they live in the surface and apparently hide amongst the humans, a true blasphemy.
Draxum was unsure of what to do about the situation or how his sons is reacting to all of that, he curiously looks down to check on his son, who was just staring at him blinkless the whole entire time with wide eyes but an neutral and completely numb, he was... unaffected... maybe?... he really couldn't tell, for the first time in years he had absolutely no idea of what was his son feeling, was he surprised? Upset? Shocked? Angry? Sad? Nobody knows, and for a moment, Michael looks away while processing all the information, he starts searching for an understandable explanation for all of that mayhem in the papers his father handed over to him to read, nothing really came to light, he sat there shocked, but he understood what happened, he crawled to his dad's lap and layed his head on it, Draxum pats his son's head and Michael gets up and hugs his father, noticing he's upset, Draxum lays down on the bed to better comfort his son, and in a couple minutes of snuggles, Michael falls asleep and Draxum stays up for a bit more, thinking about what happened before rolling over to the side and shutting his eyes, they fall sleep for the rest of the day.
