Draxum's son (an ROTTMNT AU)

Chapter 9 - Building Towers

During Michael's attempted break out, his father, Baron Draxum was reuniting with the Foot clan, discussing the location of the pieces of the dark armor, he thought the only way to get his son back was going to be by threatening them of releasing the Shredder, if they refuse, he'll set the beast free and he'll rescue his son with his own hands, so either leverage or brute force, it has to work, it could be his only option, he even tried to call out for Big Mama's help, but there was not much she could do.

That was his only choice, the only card he has up his sleeve, if it is to get his son back, it will have to be as soon as possible, they manage to find their locations spread across New York, and Baron Draxum did not even wait for the back up troops to be sent along with him, he set out to the journey without a second thought, it took nearly a week but they were able to find the pieces way more quickly thanks to Draxum's help and sense of urgency about the situation, he couldn't even imagine what those hideous monsters were doing to his precious son, he had no time to waste, he was exhausted but the adrenaline didn't stop for a moment, he was moving on anger, despair, over all anxiety and a gallon worth of coffee he got from the Foot's soldier, Cassandra, who has been working as his right hand man (woman) since he began the searches, and as much as he'd probably like to bond with her, his main focus centers around his son.

Michael in the other hand has been meditating for days on end, not being able to keep a smooth flow with the countless distractions his "brothers" make 24/7, he's very worried about his father's well being, he somewhat feels that something's up with him, he's plotting his way out, lining up the dominos so when he strikes, it will all fall into place, it's gonna be hard but he can atleast try.

He starts with Donatello, the genius and easily irritable brother of the family, he starts off by mocking him little bit every time he comes by to check on his chains, he was ignoring him at first but started to get interested once Michael began mentioning his father's Alchemist tech, THAT intrigued the Purple turtle, to Michael, he found a way to soften up his brain even more than his soft shell, he managed to convince him to take him to his lab so he can "help" him build tech like his dad's, but he just borrowed his magic to him for apply into his small machines, forming a bond of somewhat trust with him, Michael knew how to appeal to people, he praised and cheered Donatello on and on, feeding his ego and pride, but also playing a bit of a "Dumb guy" role, acting a bit silly, clueless and a little oblivious, and by giving him praise and the achievement of discovering the option of alchemist tech and it's thousands of possibilities.

Michael won Donnie over.

Now, it was Raphael's turn, big and strong older brother, but as much as he has of muscles, he had of heart, a big goofy heart that was soft and vulnerable, Michael just sat down and started to think of his home, his dad, his uncles, his aunty (Big Mama), all the good times he had with them, those memories triggered him into crying, Raph was passing by right on time to hear the whimpers and cries coming from the room, they were really quiet, almost like Michael was trying to be silent to not be noticed, Raph felt a weight on his back, he couldn't bare leaving that little guy alone in his misery like that, it would just be cruel, he's already locked away in the dark, Raph couldn't handle the pain he might be going through, his older brother senses speak louder and he goes to check on Michael, the box turtle tried to deflect him from the situation but Raph still hugged his little bro to comfort the poor boy, Michael said he was sick and tired from being in those chains all day, complaining that his legs were numb and he couldn't feel his hands, Raph decided to cheer him up by letting him out for now, taking him to the kitchen to have a meal, and exploiting his good heart and putting himself in the shoes of a victim in need of comfort and protection.

Michael won Raph over.

Alright, two out of three brothers were down, time for the final strike, Leonardo, a guy full of himself despite his lack of authority in the family, being the youngest out of everyone there, Michael was the only one who was even younger than him, but how exactly could he get on his good side? Maybe poking the beat of being finally older than someone could have some appeal, that was his only shot, in the following interactions he had with him, he acted like if he was hiding something, as soon as Leo got the bait and tried to pressure aswers out of him, Michael just spilled:

"Ok, you wanna know so bad?.... I... I actually think you're really cool."

He lied, but the act was convincing enough to get Leo excited to hear more about it, Michael kept praising his skills and confident personality, as well as confessing to kinda look up to him, Leo was at the top of the world, the chance of experiencing how it feels like to be superior, he immediately warmed up to the little guy, spending a bit more time than usual, but when duty called, he marched off the room and heard a clang, he turned around to see Michael trying to get up in his feet, but his wrists were still chained to the ground, he had gotten carried away when he saw him going off, trying to follow along just to be held down, Leo felt kinda bad, he reflected a bit, they left a child chained down like an animal, in a dark room and only feeding him twice a day, it were proper meals but for the looks of it he's still pretty hungry, he doesn't know if freeing him would be a good idea, Raph could scold him for days on end if he found out, he did showed them just how dangerous he can be but, it's not right to treat him like this, he's family too after all.

He walks away, determined to try and talk to his older bros about the release of their little brother, they trapped him before because he was a threat, but maybe he's finally up to listen to them.
