Draxum's son (an ROTTMNT AU)

Chapter 16 - Searching Faith

Baron has been in the Turtle's sewer Lair for a few days now, slowly recovering from having his soul and liveforce almost drained out of his body, he's been having a beef with Splinter, the two definetively weren't getting along, but they had to set it aside most of the time because of the kids.

Splinter was persuated into putting up with Draxum's shenanigans because his sons were sure that he would know where or how to find their little brother, and just like them, Splinter is also frustrated, desperate to know where his son is, even if he didn't get to know him much, he still feels nervous and anxious about his well-being, Michael is still his son, and he cares about the little guy, he wants to meet his son and get close to him just like his other kids, and it hurts him to think that something horrible could have happened to him.

Draxum was just dealing with him out of a slight bit of respect, he and his family took him in and have been helping him with most of his current problems, his condition, his health, and everything in between, he lost the tracking device he had of his son when their home was destroyed by the turtles, but now, they're helping him search for Michael and retrieve his belongings, or at least recreate some of his devices, it's been an odd situation for him, they mostly act friendly around him until they suddenly turn their conversations into interrogations about his son, he really wishes he could tell them more, but he barely remembers anything, in fact, he already told them all he knew, even the part where the Shredder attacked Michael, it's heart wrenching to remember that plus talking about it with as many details as they demand, but he has to put up with this, for his son and himself.

Today, Baron Draxum was finally able to walk on his own without limping, it was a small accomplishment but he still felt like this was a big victory and proof of his triumph over his ills, Leonardo and Raphael cheered him on, Donatello in the other hand, was glad but seemed uninterested, being more focused on the cameras of the Hidden City he's connected to so far, searching for his little brother tirelessly, they haven't seen him for a long time now so if he is out there, it should be only a matter of time until he shows up, if he's still alive... he will have to come back home a some point.

The sewers would be the only logical option, since Donnie.... blew up his house with explosives when they kidnapped him... but well! That means he probably has no where to go, which means that if anything came down, he would have to return to them for support, he proved to be quite smart in his time there but Donnie doesn't think he's THAT much stubborn to refuse to call for help, such a hard-headed behavior just doesn't suit him, besides, this stubbornness could probably end with him getting ill or... even starve to death.... he wouldn't go so far as to prefer a slow death in the streets over requesting help from them, right?...

But it that was it... his gear wouldn't be giving signs of life, the cuffs, collar and bracelets Draxum made for him are powered on by his mystic energy, they stay on as long as he has them on, they can't track down where the signal comes from, for now, but the only guess is that if his devices are so energized, it means his health should be in good shape, but how on earth is he able to keep a good living condition without a home or food?... Unless... maybe he's staying somewhere? Maybe someone is watching over him? That would explain his dissapearence and why his monitors are still recording him with a healthy condition, he must be staying at someone's house, he's been hiding from the world while he recovers from, what he heard that was, the fight with the Shredder, that makes total sense, but how would they find out who has him?...

🟣 - "Draxum, may I ask if you have or had any allies or acquaintances other than the Foot Clan?"

🔮 - "Huh? Well... I do know some few yokai back in the hidden city, but why do you ask?"

🟣 - "I believe that there's a chance Michael might be taking shelter under someone's wing, my research have not managed to find a trace of him in any corner of the Hidden City, but if all the clues lead us to think he's alive and out there, the only rational thing to assume is that he's either hiding or someone took him in, but I need to know the kind of people you affiliated with to have a better idea of what might have happened to him or where we could look for him first."

🔮 - "Taking shelter, huh.... I think there's only one person he would ever trust enough to go to in a moment of need, and she would probably be more than willing to take him in and keep him around for as much time as necessary...."

🟣 - "Then.... who is it?!"

🔮 - "No, it couldn't be, if something really happened to my son, Big Mama would have contacted me right away!"

🟣 - "Did you just said BIG MAMA!?!? The most powerful and influential yokai in the Hidden City?! She's your acquaintance!?!"

🔵 - "BARRY KNOWS BIG MAMA?!?"

Leo barged into the room.

🔴 - "WHAT'S THIS YELLING ALL ABOUT?! I'M TRYING TO MAKE COOKIES OVER HERE!!!"

Raph scolded from the kitchen.
