"Mom where are we going? I don't want to go anywhere now, my head is hurting" Noah asked sadly while lying on the bed. He has been on it since yesterday. His condition changed suddenly after the MRI tests.

"Don't worry chick. We will go to that big building and then you will be healthy again." Elina assured as she cupped his cheeks.

"You mean hospital, right momma?" Her heart dropped as he mentioned that word.
She wasn't just consoling Noah by not mentioning the the word 'hospital', she was consoling herself as well.

Looking at the change in her features he assured, "Don't worry, I will not cause any troub- Ahh! My head hurts" he squint in pain.

She instantly hugged him tighter than ever.
How can a child be this understanding, she literally felt blessed to have him.
"Who told you cause trouble? Huh? You are the reason for my happiness, how can you think like that?" She asked. Her eyes were filled with tears but she didn't wanted to look weak, not in front of her son. Her only strength.

"Here are the papers. Sign them and we will continue the procedure. And yes, your payments are still pending we will not wait any longer." The receptionist said.

"Yes" she said before taking all lengthy documents. She sadly sat on a bench nearby to read all of them one by one.

Oh....
Her heart dropped to the bottom of her pit when her eyes fell on 'The authority will not be responsible for the death of the patient during procedure' she felt like passing out anytime.
But.
She signed.

She scanned all the reports and agreements. There were no limits of her sorrow while reading those painful conditions. Although there were some positive quotes at the bottom of every page that encouraged her to turn the pages.
'Mother's signature'
She signed.

'Father's signature'

This was something she was avoiding from the very beginning. But he has to know.

No.
'Why should he know' her other part resorted. She was in conflict with her own self.

Nevertheless.
She marked on the alternative.
'Not applicable.'

-----------------------------------------------------------------
A day ago.

He checked his phone again just in case she replied to his request.
No reply.

"Boss, you are free for today. But I will arrange few more client meetings if you want. You are already ahead-" his long robotic speech was cut as David spoke.
"Leave it for today. I will take my leave."

"Ohh....Okay then." The secretary spoke as he watched him getting out of his cabin.

Now he had to cancel all the meetings that he arranged without David's consent, it was obvious that his boss would agree upon the meetings. But it was not his fault after all, it was his boss who behaved out of character just now.

As usual there was no place for him to go. Although he parked his car near a park.
Why is he there?
He roamed in the park admiring the night sky that would have looked more beautiful if he was happy.

Once he left everything for money and fame. But look at him, now he couldn't return even if he craved it as hell.

He stopped when he reached the spot.
"He was playing here yesterday." he chuckled a bit. He looked at a bench which was empty by now. "And there she was."

He sat on the same bench before closing his eyes as he remembered something.

Same place just different time.
.
.
.
"Dad?" A small voice called from his behind. He turned around to find his son looking at him with his big sparkly eyes. He couldn't believe what he was witnessing.
"Champ!? My baby" he almost exclaimed before sitting at his son's level. "You here!?" He stated while cupping his soft cheeks.
"I wanted to see you" he said while smiling brightly.
"You did a great job buddy!" He couldn't be more happier.
David hugged his son as there was no tomorrow. He pulled away before asking "Are you alone here?"
Noah replied looking at the frown at his father's features, "No. I'm here with Momma."

Ohh....
"Where is she?" David asked lowly.
"She is in the changing room. She told me to stay outside and not move a bit from there. You know there are bad men around." Noah said very seriously as if he was guiding his father to stay safe.
David laughed at his cute expressions
"That's true bubs. I will be careful by now" he said before ruffling his hair.

He again hugged his son."I see you are growing up too fast" he said too low for Noah to hear.
"Dad...uhh why are these people watching us?" that's when he realised they were at a mall and probably blocking the way too.
"Come this side buddy" he took Noah in his arms to get to a corner.

"Dadda" he said while holding David's face. "Why don't you come to us anymore? Momma never answer me when I ask her about you, instead she buys me chocolates. I don't want that. I want you" he asked sadly.

How to answer that question? How to make him understand at this little age that his parents are not together.

"I will com-"
"Noah"
It was her voice. The voice he craved to hear for months. He saw her coming close to them. She looked so beautiful. But sadly there was no trace of smile on her features. She wasn't looking like his Elina.

"Noah, I told you to stay by the door right? Then what are you doing here huh?" She asked softly completely ignoring the guy who was holding her child. She was angry, angry at herself at David. But she will definitely not let it show.
"Come to momma" she told stretching her arms toward Noah.
He subconsciously tighten his grip around his son, unable to utter a single word.

But.
He had to let go. She took Noah and went as if he wasn't even there.
David watched her figure disappear slowly.

'She will definitely not forgive me.' he thought.

"Mister, excuse me." A man said bringing him back to reality.
"The park is about to close. Please take your leave" he informed standing near the bench.

"Sure" David responded lowly before getting up to leave.

'I can't believe that incident happened almost an year ago. Good for me at least I saw them closely' he thought to himself before driving off.

Only if he knew his son was going for a surgery next day.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Elina checked her phone only to find a message in the block list.
'I want to meet him' she read.

"What are you doing Elina? He deserves to know, how could you possibly do that?"
A part of her complained. She felt pathetic for doing this sin.

'He has a son who is at his most crucial stage of life and I am not informing him?'
She thought.

'Noah doesn't need him, I don't want him here. Never.' Her other part was taking the lead.

But.

For once she didn't listen to her demons and decided to call someone.
.
.
.
"Hello".
His voice.

"I-I want-ed"
"I want to meet you. Now."
