Brother

"Wilbur?"
"Tommy!"
I stared at the man for a second.
Is this a dream? Am I dreaming?
I look down at my arm and pinched myself, I feel the pain from the pinch.
....this isn't a dream..
That's my brother.
Next thing I know Will is racing towards me, three guards pursuing him but at a slower pace. Then Techno jumps in front of me, stopping Wilbur. They begin arguing. And arguing. And arguing...
Guards are yelling, and trying to grab Wilbur...trying to take him away from me again.
"EVERYONE STOP." I scream.
Everyone is staring at me, the guards, my brother, and my advisor.
"Let him go. This instant." I say.
"But your highness, he is merely a peasant who has broke into your palace, he should be-" one of the guard's states. I am disregarding everything he says has he states it.
Why do these people not realize that this is their rightful king that they are calling a peasant?
"I do not care where he should be nor what he should be doing at this moment in time. You do realize that this man is Wilbur Soot Gold, my brother. So I should suggest that you unhand him this instant. Or else." I say more bold than I have ever been.
"Tommy. Let them take him." I hear Techno say from Infront of me.
"Absolutely not, Technoblade. This is my brother and they will not be taking him anywher-" I'm cut off by Techno.
"Tommy this is not our Wilbur. Look at his eyes Tommy. Those aren't Will's bright brown eyes, those are pure blood red, I should know." He says.
Now that I look at him, I realize that this isn't my brother, my brother has brown eyes, curly brown hair with a small white streak in the front of his hair, he was also quite pale and had a scar on his forehead and cheek from our childhood, when he fell down a slope and banged his head on a rock. The one on his cheek is from his sword lessons with Techno.
This man is tan-ish with blood red eyes that look as if he is being controlled, and light brown curly hair with blonde highlights in it, and he only has one scar on his face and it's near his eye.
That is not my brother.
"Take him away." I hear myself say without a second thought.
"Tommy! Tom, why are you letting them take me away?! I'm your brother! You are really going to let them do this to me after not seeing me for so long!?!" The impersonator says.
"You. You are not my brother. You are a phony. An imposter, shall I say." I say more enraged than ever before.
"Fine, we'll play the hard way Tommy." The man says.
The guards drag him out of the library, and out of my sight.
Techno looks over at me and by the way he looked at me he was in shock too. Nether of us had any idea what to say, and just stared at each other until I finally broke down in tears and fell to the ground. I felt Techno try and hush me and I felt him rubbing my back and hug me for the first time in my life.
He always said he wasn't a hugger.

Two weeks later

The man was put on trial yesterday for impersonation of a royal, attempted assassination, breaking and entering of the royal palace, and attempted kidnapping of the king. He was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to death. But I finally got to know his name.
His name was Jared.
According to his testimony, my brother had sent him to capture me and bring me back to him. He said that he had no intentions of hurting me and said he was only trying to help his friend get his little brother to safety.
When I asked him why Will had thought I was not safe here, of course I don't believe he knows Wilbur's whereabouts but I figured I should ask anyhow, and he responded with something around the lines of Wilbur had said that there was war on its way and that the Karma Kingdom was planning on attacking us.
This doesn't make any sense to me though. This is because when Wilbur was king we had an alliance with Karma because Wilbur had a HUGE crush on the king of Karma, Alex Quackity, since they were little.
So I thought that we still had a good relationship with Karma, also because the king thinks of me as a little brother. But I just found out yesterday that Techno had apparently attacked Quackity at some point before me or Will was king and made him go blind in one eye, and as it turns out Q just found out last week that Techno is my advisor and I got a very angry letter this morning from him saying that he was calling off the alliance unless Techno was out of the palace or executed in the next 24 hours.
To say the least I'm not gonna kill my advisor that acts like a brother.
So um yeah... We lost an ally.
Not really a good thing if your country is on the verge of war.
Also the council is freaking out and our army men and guards scouting the area for threats, so far they haven't found anything but I guess it's worth checking.
Anyways I have so many questions...
Like where is Wilbur if Jared wasn't him?
Is Jared telling the truth about knowing my brother?
Is Karma actually going to declare war on us?
Is Techno trustworthy?
I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Techno, speak of the devil.
"Tommy, I just got a letter from our spy in Karma." He says.
"Well let's see it." I state waving him over to my desk in my big fancy office.
The letter, it was what I was worried it was...
