Sunny hyperventilated. His eye was missing. HIS EYE WAS MISSING. He wasn't the type to forget things. Even if he had been stabbed, it took him 30 minutes to recall. Within those 30 minutes his eye bled out, dripping down to the corner of his mouth, then onto his gown. His eye rolled up as he fell onto the bench behind him.

He woke up. Yet it wasn't in silence. He could hear talking, beeping, people. He opened his regenerated eyes yet was still in his brain. He looked behind him, but his shadow had no face at all. He kept thinking until he heard a familiar voice- no.. familiar voices. Multiple. 4, to be exact. The energetic voice of a teenage boy, the responsible voice of a young adult, the raspy voice of a sour girl and the shivering voice of a paranoid boy.
"Suuunnyyyyy... wake uppp!" The energetic one hollered. It lingered in his ears loudly.
"Back off him you dumbass! He's in a coma, don't you remember?" The raspy voice hissed. Sunny got shivers from this one. It was least familiar of them all.
"Now now you two- calm down. Give him his gift and speak calmly to him. I'm sure he can hear us!" Ah, now that was the voice of someone responsible and calm. They all sounded familiar. He waited for someone to say at least one of their names.
"Hero, are you sure he'll wake up?" Said the- wait, hero? Hero??

Sunny paced to the playground with the racket still echoing in his head. As per usual, everyone looked at him, but Hero was smiling? At sunny? How peculiar.
As he walked over to the mirror, hero approached him.
"Hey, Sunny! My friends don't really like you for some reason, I feel like I remember but it's all fuzzy. Oh hey! Cool mirror! Isn't it weird that it's floating??"

Hero continued to rant as sunny was absolutely shocked. How? What? When? Where? Why?
Sunny steadied his breath and, as much has he for some reason wanted to tell the truth, he played along. He was scared that all that development that meant so much would not exist.

He then realised; his eye was back. After basil had scooped it out and he bled to the point of blacking out, it came back? Sunny soon contemplated his existence. Was basil right about all that stuff he said? Did sunny really ki-
"Hey, sunny, yoohoo!! Brain to sunny??"
"ah- sorry. Just.. thinking."
"YOU JUST SPOKE!!"
sunny giggled but quickly hid his face.

It grew later, everyone went home. As sunny wandered into his room, he turned behind him and let out a scream of anger.
"IM SO CONFUSED ABOUT MY EXISTENCE, IS THIS WORLD REAL? SOMEONE WHO HATED ME MOST DOESNT ANYMORE? IS THIS PLACE REAL? SURELY BASIL WAS LYING RIGHT??" Sunny inhaled deeply.
"Right?...." He let out a deep sigh.
His shadow looked surprised, then gave him a soft smile.
"I could show you, if you really want to know."
"PLEASE."
"Alright alright.."

Sunny's eyes shook as he saw a blur of memories passing by him

Sunny's eyes shook as he saw a blur of memories passing by him. He felt dizzy as he approached the correct one.

He was on a tall building. Specifically a 9 level building. There was a rooftop, but the fencing was taken down for construction. He pulled his hair out, realising it was longer. He was shorter too. And in the same clothes of the day of his recital. With Mari.
He shivered as he walked to the edge against his will. All he was doing was seeing what him in the real world was doing. As he looked down, he felt scared. But the sunny he was seeing the memories through smiled. He had a calm smile on his face before jumping off the rooftop. He spun round upside down and passed the shocked faces of accountants in the open windows.

So it was true. He had killed himself. And those voices.. they must've been his friends. But he felt so young in this memory, how could he be in the hospital that long after a suicide?
He sobs as he closes his eyes and waits for the inevitable crash onto the ground.

As he's a metre away from hitting the stone pavement, he wakes up, panting, sobbing, processing what happened.
As he opens his eyes, he sees a girl that looks like him. Around 15. A long, white dress and long, thick, black hair. As he rubs his eyes and gets a closer look he almost cries.
"Sunny???? Wake up!"
He blinked and it was just hero and kel. Wait, kel? Had his friends mentioned kel in his sleep? Apparently they had.
"Dude, you okay? You were crying and all. We came over since you weren't at the mirror today."
Sunny was hyperventilating until kel hugged him.
"I don't know what happened to you, but we're here buddy."
Sunny started sobbing into kels neck as he smiled in proudness of sunny letting it all out.

As they all went to the playground for a light breeze to dry sunny's tears, he sees Aubrey crying in the corner. Sobbing into her knees and wiping her nose every 5 seconds.
Sunny approached her and she SNAPPED.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAK! You were best friends with basil, and he.."
"What did he do aubs?" Kel asked
"DONT CALL ME THAT. He..scribbled over all the photos of Mari in his album."
"Aubrey, I'm sure If we just tal-"
"YOUD TALK TO BASIL FOR THIS BUT NOT TO MARI WHEN SHE HAD SO MUCH PRESSURE ON HER!"
Everyone stood in silence.
"Because Mari doesn't matter to you anymore, does she."
