The woman walked in, closing the door behind her. She looked like she was in her 50's, she had short brown hair and a smile on her face.
" Hello Ashley." She spoke. I still didn't know who she was. I could see Billy and Stu looking at me and then at her in confusion.
" Who exactly are you?" I asked, looking at the woman.
" Im Audrey, your mother." She said with a smile.
No way. Did she really just come back now? She just casually left when I was 5 months old without ever speaking to me or seeing me and she's expecting for me to just accept her coming back into my life?
It was silence.
" I know I know im sorry about everything, I shouldn't have left you but I was hurt by your father. I heard about what happened yesterday, are you okay? I never realized Nale was a psychopath." She spoke with a worried look on her face.
" What's wrong with you? Do you seriously think I'll accept your apology and just let you in my life? No! What made you think its okay to just disappear because you got your heart broken and just leave your newborn behind?" I yelled at her, not regretting it. I felt tears in my eyes.
" I never even got the chance to meet you for Christ's sake!" I scoffed.
" Im so sorry Ashley i understand how you fee-
" No you don't, you won't ever understand how I feel." I interrupted her, Billy put his hand on my shoulder.
" Ashley it might take a while but you will accept this, you will accept your new life, you are still a minor so you will have to live with me, we are moving to Georgia tomorrow." She spoke and my eyes widened.
" There's no fucking way Im going with you I'd rather kill myself, plus my life is here not in Georgia and im turning 18 in a month, therefore i can live without you." I said, walking away from her.
" Sorry Ashley, but whether you like it or not you have to move." I heard her say.
She's crazy. I would never move away from Billy just to live with this bitch.
" Leave, I don't want you to be here now." I said and she nodded.
" I'll pick you up tomorrow at 2." She said before walking out.
" No the fuck you won't'!" I yelled.
As soon as she left I sat on my bed and started crying. Billy and Stu immediately sat next to me to comfort me.
Billy took my hand and kissed my head as Stu rubbed my back.
" Shh its okay Ash." Billy said and i cried more. " I don't wanna lose you guys." I spoke.
" You won't Ashley, we'll always be here." Stu said with a small smile.
" He's right, your mother may be a bitch but she's still trying. Mine isn't. And I will always be here Ashley you won't lose me." Billy comforted me, wiping my tears with his tumb and I nodded.
" It's gonna be okay don't worry." He added. " I love you."
" I love you too." I said back and smiled.
Right at that moment a police officer walked in. " Miss Prescott, Mr. Loomis and Macher we have to question you." He spoke.
Us 3 nodded and followed the officer. We already practiced what to say so we weren't nervous.
He took us to a room nearby, with four chairs inside it.
We walked in and sat down, the officer sat across us.
" So tell me what happened that night Miss Prescott." He said.
I sighed as i wiped my tears, trying to look sad as i began talking.
[ SOME HOURS LATER ]
After we were done with questioning, we were able to leave the hospital since we made a full recovery.
We got dressed and took an uber, Stu's parents wanted to see him so he had to go home.
Billy invited me to stay over at his for tonight. I was nervous about tomorrow since I knew my mother would come and drag me to Georgia.
I wanted to spend the rest of the day with Billy. Billy's father heard about what happend, but he was on a business trip and there is no flight back till next week so he couldn't come.
Billy and me were laying in his bed, my head was on his chest as he was stroking my hair and looking at the ceiling.
I was wearing his shirt and his shorts.
" Don't have sex with other girls while im gone." I said, breaking the silence.
He laughed breathlessly. " Don't worry about that, no girls compare to you." He said, slapping my butt as i punched his arm playfully.
" I'll be gone just for few months I hope, I'll get a job and as soon as I make some money I'll pay for flight and come back here." I said and he nodded.
" What about university? You'll have to go there." He said.
" Oh yea shit i didn't think about that." I said.
" Don't worry, you'll figure it out." He smiled and so did I.
I kissed him and he kissed me back as i layed down on his chest again, falling asleep.
