Song: Its not so bad - sped up
Song plays 0:00-1:11
It had just begun to rain in Madison, Delaware as Hannah sat by her window. She looks intently at the photo of her and her father. R.L. Stine. She addressed the picture as if it were going to react, saying, "It's been two months since I last saw you." Hannah murmurs, "You've never left me this long. Dad, where are you?" She queries. The rain falls. The home creaks and groans in emptiness, as dew falls on her window and lightning hits. It had been like this 60 days, also known as 8 weeks. Hannah recalls that her dad had a special mission to take in Wardenclyffe, New York, but no one has seen him since. She felt more lonely than ever, going to school on a buss, to come home to an empty house. It was a forever reminder that she was alone, as the 'bring your parent to school day' had just past. Song is over.
Song: Karl Casey - Lost City
Song plays 0:35-1:10
Hannah rises. "I need to do something about this." She makes a declaration before grabbing her phone and dialing 911. "911, What is your emergency?" The male operator questions. "I believe my dad has gone missing; I've been waiting for him to get back from his vacation to Wardenclyffe, New York, but he hasn't. It's been two months" Hannah said. "Well, you are the same girl who called earlier this month, aren't you? We are working on it, but since R.L. Stine has been missing for years and no one is familiar with him, we currently have no leads. I advise you to be patient and wait, while we look into it." He hangs up after saying. She exhales. Song ends.
Same song then plays 1:40-2:14
Hannah then makes the decision to phone Zach Cooper, her boyfriend and the only support she has. "Zach, My dad hasn't been home for two months, and I have no idea where he is." Hannah explains. "You called him, right? Did you make a police report?" Zach queries. "The cops advised me that the best thing for me to do is to wait by my phone, because Dad isn't picking up his phone. I'm still hopeful for my dad. He was residing in a cabin in Wardenclyffe, New York, when I last spoke to him." Hannah explains. "Then, we're off to Wardenclyffe, New York." Said Zach. "You understand we can't do that, because I don't have a passport." Hannah explains. Then, Zach adds, "We'll drive." Zach states. "I don't have a car, it's a three-hour drive, and you don't have a license." Hannah says. "No, but I know someone who does." Zach responds.
"Champ." Song ends.
Cuts to Zach's side/point of view.
Song: the perfect girl - mareux [edit audio] by Quitezy
Song plays 0:00-0:35
After school, Zach approaches Champ. Zach spins him around by grabbing him by the shoulder. "What!" Champ enquires, while shedding a few tears. "Man, are you okay?" Zach asks Champ, who was obviously not feeling okay. "No! Taylor and I broke up, with each other." Champ answers. "Why?" Zach enquires. "She said I was a dork," Champ says, Zach nods. "Look, we have more pressing issues than this" Zach says, adding. "R.L. Stine has been missing for two months and that we believe his disappearance is related to the monster invasion in Wardenclyffe, New York." Zach explains. Champ nods, while wiping his tears on his gray suit.
"Oh my God. What should we do?" Champ queries. "Please drive Hannah and me to Wardenclyffe, New York." Champ shakes his head in response to Zach. "Absolutely not. You guys saw those creatures; they're terrifying...No joke, man." Champ says. "Yes, well...if they have Stine, they are going to get us regardless." Zach explains, nodding his head while talking. "Fine!... I'll drive and...maybe stay along for the ride, but if I encounter a monster, I'll run home" Zach laughs, as Champ acknowledges. Song ends.
Switches the scene to all three of them in car, Champ driving.

With Zach in the passenger seat, Champ in the driver's seat, and Hannah in the backseat, Hannah exclaims, "I can't believe your mom is letting you drive us to New York." Champ smiles and nods. "Yes, she's fairly good with stuff like this, she says it boosts my self-confidence." Champ responds, Zach turns to face his window. "I truly hope he's okay." Zach replies. Hannah nods anxiously while gazing out the window. They pass a sign. 'You're about to leave Madison, Delaware.'
(Champ's car)
Same song then plays 2:44-4:18
As it travels down the road, the automobile passes a dismantled Tesla tower. Yes, looming in the distance was the shadowy silhouette of Wardenclyffe Lab, once the high-tech headquarters of the mad scientist Nikola Tesla, abandoned for years. Kids liked to ride their bikes out there, dare each other to ignore the giant KEEP OUT! signs and climb the barbed wire fence. They approach green signs 'Welcome visitors to Warden Cliff, New York' the signs read. As the sun rose high in the sky, the trees began to sway. It was early January in Wardenclyffe, New York. The air was fresh, and the night was young. The car was traveling past forests and dimly lit lampposts.
