♔| personality general personality At first sight, Byeol seems like an absolute angel. He has the sweetest face, and with his soft eyes and flawless skin it is hard to imagine this man might not be as kind as he seems. His ever so charming smile has many ladies swoon over him and others are eager to befriend the young master of the Kim family. Not only his appearance to be a virtuous man, but also his excellent manners make him very well liked among the high classed society of Joseon. Do not be fooled by his looks only though. Byeol is not as kindhearted as he appears to be at first sight. He is a cunning young man who is supported by a very powerful family.
It is that family he grew up in that made him the man he is now. His father is pretty much the most powerful man in the kingdom, he has many supporters and his cumulative power might as well be bigger than the king's! It cannot be said the power is used for good purposes though. The Kim family is after wealth and power of their own and cares very little about the sacrifices made. Byeol's father always told him about how common people and servants were far below him and did not deserve his kindness or mercy. So it might be unfair to blame Byeol for his rather harsh behaviour to those classes, but it is undeniable he is anything but friendly to them. The servants of the Kim family are all very tense because no mistake is ever forgiven.
Byeol is very protective over the one person that is dearer to him than anything in the world; his younger sister. Towards her, he is that angel everyone believes he is. He braids her hair, goes to the market with her, buys her presents, listens to her stories and even studies with her regardless of the fact that his father disapproves of his daughter, a woman, studying like a man.
Deep inside Byeol is a good person though. It is just the way he is raised that makes him view things a certain way. He finds family very important and does not wish to let his father down. The man is strict and all, but Byeol really looks up to him. He has come so far and had so much power and influence now. How could he not look up to a man who never forget about what he wanted and worked hard all his life to get to where he wanted to be? best traits Ambitious Decisive Fearless
