//5 - Cotillion Catastrophe//

"No, it's too dangerous. Especially when you're hurt. Let me go!" Uma claimed; I'd just explained my plan of going over to Auradon since the barrier wasn't fully shut yet and putting Ben under a love spell. "Uma's right, stay here and I'll take care of you Bonnie." I sighed, replying that I would be going either way to see the smug look on Mal's face since she thinks she's won. But then we can hit her hard with a love spell!! I grabbed Uma's wrist, pulling her through the barrier with me at the last second.

We did it.

We were free.

We were actually free.

As my whole body game out, I felt a wave of energy pulse through my veins, the cut sealed over and I felt my hair rise up as a flame for a split second, only for me to get wet again.

"Woah, the protective barrier must've been taking away all of your Demi-god powers, or whatever the hell you call what just happened!"
"Well that kind of is how the barrier works STUPID!"
"Hey, hey, don't be rude to me or I'll provoke your role."
"No, I'm your equal. You don't have that power."
"It's my crew!"
"Now it's mine too!"
"Its my ship!"
"Keep talking to yourself," I picked at a hangnail. She screamed and we began swimming over to the U.S.A, the United States of Auradon.

It took a LONG time, but we swam over to Auradon as people were boarding the boat. We clambered out of the water, I took the spell book and flicked through. "As the evening wind blows by, surround us until we're dry." I flicked my finger around, we ducked down and we're suddenly dry.

"Can you make us look like we could fit in?" I nodded, scrolling through the pages of the battered book. "I don't care about a price, dress us up so we look nice." All of a sudden, we were in beautiful dresses.

"The only love spell here is a potion-"
"So? Y/n you're not just Hades's daughter, you're Maleficent's too. Write your own!!" I looked at her worriedly, whistling down to grab Ben's attention, he came down and Uma grabbed his hands. I looked him in the eyes, mine lit up a fiery blue.

"Lustful feelings aren't in me, open his heart and set them free?" I shot blue light sparks at him and he closed his eyes, Uma spun him around to look in his eyes, they gave each other flirtatious looks. She stroked a piece of hair from his face and his mouth watered hypnotically, oh yeah, he's definitely under my spell.

We boarded the boat and hid below deck, once Ben was brought out after Mal he announced Uma would be his Lady of the Court instead; I could sense her pain, as if it were my own - but I couldn't care less, she doesn't give two craps about me so why should I have any live in my heart for her?! Harry's the only one I truly love, I mean I love my dad too, but we argue a lot and with how his temper is it's hard to truly care about him.

I looked around the corner, locking eyes with Jay and Evie, they placed their hands on Mal's shoulder and whispered something to her, she looked up and saw me, becoming angrier. As Uma began to yell and demand Fairygodmother bring down the barrier, I swooped in and snatched the wand for myself. I could feel the magic from it surge through me like I'd been hit with lightning, I felt my hair rise up as blueish turquoise flames to match my clearly glowing eyes, burning brightly with my power. Mal hurriedly kisses Ben, breaking my spell! As he snapped out of the trance, he looked at me frightfully, as everyone backed away he took a cautious step towards me. By this point I was shaking, trembling both with a slight fear because I don't really know how to use magic, but also feeling over-powered to the point where I was struggling to stay sane and in control of my mind. My eyes twitched, watering as my hands gripped the wand tighter, making them shake more,

"Y/n, you don't have to do this..." he said calmly as he stepped closer to me again, Uma ran next to me, but was grabbed by the shoulders by Jay and Lonnie and was yanked backwards. I backed up more and more as Ben came closer.

"B-Ben, stand back..." I shivered.
"Please, Y/n I can hel-"
"Ben I said STAND BACK." I pointed the wand at him. I looked over to the Isle of the lost, imagining what my life would be like if I were there right now. I'd probably be sat on the bed with Harry, cuddling, laughing, having that warm fuzzy feeling when I see his adorable smile beaming down at me, that thing lightens a room, and never fails to brighten my day.

Everyone was scared of me, but not like the Isle residents were. "Ben, I told you it was a bad idea to even suggest this CHAOS DEMON come here!" Mal spat from the crowd, I viciously growled at her, my still glowing eyes staring directly into hers. "Let my enemy see crossfire, tear her down into my fire." I chanted. A blue circle of fire surrounded her, separating her from the others so she was alone.

"I beg of you Y/n, please put the wand down! Its dangerous! You could hurt yourself and others if you cast the wrong spell or worse!" I was against the railing, if I moved or flinched I'd risk falling into the sea. He tip-toed towards me, touching my hands as if about to grab the wand and push me in, I ducked cowardly.

"Why did you do that?"
"I can read these things, y-y-you WOULD'VE grabbed the wand and sent me overboard!! Heh, if you're gonna do that at least let it be flashy with a plank!"
"This is Auradon, I'd never dream of hurting you or anyone else! You're an angry girl with a malicious plan, Y/n, not too different to your sister when she came here. Trust me, so I can trust you, I can help you make things right, make the right choices, do what feels right. Let's be a part of the solution together." He gestured to all the other VKs.

"DONT YOU DARE GO SOFT Y/N!!!! WHAT WOULD HARRY THINK?!" Uma screeched, I felt so overwhelmed, I was shivering and crying, my eyes flickering and beginning to dim. I dropped the wand onto the ground, sending a blast toward the fire, putting it out. Ben grabbed the wand, tossing it to its rightful owner as Uma leapt into the water. Mal transformed into a dragon and they began battling. While everyone was distracted, I tried to Fred through the water on the boat to get away, only to be shoved over my the guards. "You're not going anywhere, freak."
"Why would we let a monster like YOU get away?"

One of them put a foot over my chest, pinning me down, I found the power to kick him up his rear, sending him flying as the boat rocked and sent me sliding to the edge of the railing. Ben was now in the water trying to ease the fight, but the guards came after me, falling on top on me and nearly knocking me in. I slide under his legs and manage to get my way to the stairs, Jay chases after me with all the speed he had in him. My black heel got stuck on the step, so I just had to leave it. I pulled my other one off, throwing it at him and slipping. Carlos and Jane join the chase around the boat as the others eagerly watch the fight, I decided it was safer to jump into the sea and swim behind Uma. I let myself fall overboard, but in an attempt to catch me, Uma slaps me and sends me hurdling through the air towards Mal.

"Y/N!" She and Ben yell as Mal freaks out and sends fire at me, burning me. Being a Demi-Goddess I think I should be fire resistant, but how come I healed coming off the isle and not now? I just fell into the water, sinking lower and lower. I began to close my eyes, the pain overcoming me. I let the salty water flood my lungs. The last things I saw were tentacles trying to grab me and Ben frantically swimming towards me...
