Lunch had rolled around and the school day was in full swing. Students sprinted to the cafe to get first picks, even starting all out brawls over the triple chocolate cake. No one held back as several groups of raging mid tiers pummeled each other into the floors. Only a few were victorious. The others either walked away in silent anger, or were dragged away to Darren's office.

Poor souls. They would be missed.

As this was going on however, others had more important things to attend to.

Namely a certain senior press member, her steps confident and light as she made her way down to the press room. While there wasn't a smile plastered across her face, she was eager to get started today, for it just so happened to be the deadline for the newspaper articles.

She had spent almost all night proofreading the format for the upcoming paper and while exhausted, she wouldn't let a lack of sleep affect her productivity.

Not to mention, she had all the eyes of Wellston's student body on her once again.

"Look, it's Cecile."

"Isn't she back on the press again?"

"Must be. I haven't seen Isen there all week. I heard Juni and that Otis kid chatting about how they could post some real stories now. Whatever that means."

"She's also Jack now too!"

Cecile had forgotten what it was like to be part of the royal lineup. Already, just on her way here, she had been asked several questions and tasks that were reserved for the position. And like she always did, she answered flawlessly.

It truly was a pity that she wasn't made Jack after Seraphina abdicated. Had she been, she doubts that any of this chaos would've happened to begin with. All this talk about the Safe House and students neglecting the hierarchy; none of it would've ever been a problem for her to handle.

However, her title had been handed away to someone an entire tier below her. Needless to say, it left her feeling more than a bit irritated with the ex-King and current Queen.

At the thought, her frown deepened ever so slightly.

Neither of them were fit to lead.

All they ever did was neglect social order or lie to keep their precious titles. This hierarchy that Arlo cared so much about...he only followed it when it benefited him. And Remi could care less about any form of rank or social norm.

"Do you think John bribed her to become Jack?"

"Eh, who knows? I'm just glad I don't have to deal with Isen as the press leader anymore. That guy was annoying."
