Tubbo's POV:

August 19th, 8:00pm

"𝐓𝐔𝐁𝐁𝐎!" 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞, and I jerked it away from my ear.

"What's up, boss man?" I answered with a chuckle. I could practically hear Tommy's excitement through the call, imagining the bright smile he had on the other end of the line.

"You ready for tomorrow?" He questioned, and I nodded before remembering he couldn't see me.

"Yeah, it'll be fun!"

"What electives did you pick?" Tommy asked, and I slowly counted them in my head before listing them off. "Gym, German, and Concert Band."

"German?" He replied with a small giggle, and I was quick to defend it.

"Yeah! German is good! Besides, I don't want to learn some random language like Latin."

"Yeah, but German is dumb." He said. "Oh? And what'd you choose, oh wise one?" I quipped.

"I chose the uh- French. It's bloody awesome."

"Sure." I grinned, yawning. "I'm gonna sign off, Toms."

"Night, Tubbo!" He said, hanging up the call.

I sighed, relaxing back on my bed and tossing my phone on the desk.

It's real... I mused. I'm actually starting high school tomorrow. This'll be interesting.

My arm fell across my eyes, and that was the same way I woke up 8 hours later.

Looking to the clock, I noticed the time was half past 6:00 in the morning.

"Oh god," I mumbled to myself, quickly rolling out of bed and heading to my closet. After getting ready quickly, I slung my backpack over my shoulder and headed downstairs.

"I'm leaving now, Mom!" I called behind me, and heard a faint goodbye on her part before I exited into the crisp morning air.

Walking to school had always been one of my favorite parts of the day. The light breeze ruffling my hair, the early august leaves passing by and forming piles beside the path.

I glance around, a feeling of serenity sweeping over my body.

It was so calm... nothing could disrupt this moment.

"TUBBO, MY BEST BUD!" A voice called from behind me, and I internally facepalmed. I had spoken too soon.

"What's up, Toms?" I laughed as he fell into stride next to me.

"Thinking about women. There'll be women at our new school, Tubbo."

"Yes, there will be women. Your point?" I asked, as he moved ahead slightly and began walking backward.

"Women! Oh, how I love women..." he trailed off. "Moving on," I tried to continue the conversation, "would you want to come over after school? I'm free and I know you like talking about all the stuff that happens on the first day."

"Oh! That would be poggers!" He cheered, turning back around again after bumping into the fourth person in  two minutes.

"It's decided then." I nodded, as we approached the towering brick building that would be our prison for the next 7 hours.

Tommy ran ahead as we got closer, sending me a bright smile. He may not have liked school, but I know he enjoyed the social aspect of it.

"First class?" I asked when I finally caught up. "Math."

"That's like the worst class to have in the morning!" I groaned, halfway laughing at his displeased face. "I have English."

"Alright then, man. See you!"

We shared a short fist bump, then split our separate ways as the clock ticked to 8:00.

The halls were like a maze, twisting and winding. I had never been one for directions or navigation, and within two minutes I was very lost.

I smacked into someone, not paying attention to where I was going, and quickly apologized.

"Hey, it's fine. Do you need help? You seem lost."

I glanced up from my phone's map to meet eyes with a stranger.

A very tall stranger, who was offering to help me.

"Oh! That would be amazing," I smiled gratefully at him. "What class do you have first?"

"English."

He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, pointing behind me. "You're in the completely wrong wing for that. Here, I'll show you. My class is in that building too."

We began to walk together, occasionally asking each other random questions.

When we finally reached my class, he made a grand gesture to the door. "Your personal hell awaits."

I giggled a bit, before a question hit me.

"Oh yeah! I never caught your name."

"Ranboo. My name is Ranboo."
