Tubbo's POV:

𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚. I knew I had to set up my monitor for later's stream, but at the moment doing nothing seemed more appealing.

That is, until I got a notification from an unknown group chat.

I clicked on it, getting transferred to the messages page. What the hell? I thought as my eyes skimmed the screen.

Unknown: hello
Unknown: welcome to the chaos

Following that was a series of names, which I quickly saved to my phone.

Niki: hello!

JackManifold: hello fellow beings

Dream: does everyone have all the new names saved?

I blinked a few times, my brain taking a second to process the amount of spam texts I was getting.

Tubbo: yeah, I've got them

Adrienne: okay, good

George: wait so did we get the all clear from Phil to initiate?

Quackity: yeah all good

Ranboo: where are we meeting this time?

Technoblade: does this mean I have to go somewhere

Wilbursoot: no, just stay at the usual

And then it fell silent. I sighed softly, getting up from my bed to move toward my setup.

That's nice and cryptic, I thought, powering it on.

Fortunately, I didn't have to think of something to do. Tommy and I agreed to do a stream together on Minecraft earlier. I booted up the server, clicking 'go live' on Twitch and greeting my chat.

"Hi, chat! Today we'll be..."

August 21st, 1:37pm

"Tommy!" I called, running up to him in the hallways before our next class.

"Walk to sixth with me?" I asked, and he nodded in agreement. It wasn't long until the sounds of aggressive woodwind playing reached my ears, and Tommy ran ahead to peek in.

"YOOOOO, is that an oboe?!" He exclaimed, rushing inside. I rolled my eyes playfully before stepping in after him.

The tall man, Ranboo, from yesterday was inside, as Tommy poked at his instrument.

It resembled a clarinet, but longer and with a post that reached the ground.

"That's our honorary bass clarinet, Ranboo." The girl from yesterday said, coming to stand beside us. "He's the only one in the band."

"Woah... that's very pog." Tommy complimented. Considering he had the attention span of a 4 year old, however, it only took him 10 seconds to have run off again.

The girl... what was her name again? Niki? No, wait... Puffy!

"So, what do you play?" I inquired, as she glanced at me.

"I'm a Tuba, another instrument that no one else plays. It's pretty cool." She offered a small smile, which I returned.

"Alright, I know you all are excited... yes, we are assigning instruments today. But please, just sit down for right now."

I followed Mr. Minecraft's instructions, sitting down between the two as I had yesterday.

"I had each of you fill out a questionnaire about the instruments you'd be willing to play, so here's our sections."

He tapped the board, and the assignments for each instrument came up.

"Clarinets: Fundy, George, Charlie
Saxophones: Dream (alto), Adrienne (tenor), Skeppy (tenor), Sam (baritone)
Flutes: Niki, Erin
Bass clarinet: Ranboo
Percussion: Sapnap
Trumpets: Tommy, Quackity
Trombones: Jack Manifold, Technoblade
Euphoniums: Tubbo, Hannah
Tubas: Puffy
French horns: Karl, Eret
Bassoon: Wilbur
Oboe: Bad Boy Halo."

"LET'S GO BABY! ONLY TENOR SAX, JUST LIKE LAST YEAR!" The blonde leader from earlier cheered, pumping his fist as the people I know to be George and Sapnap came up and joined him in celebrating.

Mr. Minecraft eventually gave up on trying to get them all to calm down, resorting to pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers and shaking his head slightly.

"Just keep it down." He requested, and George at least had the courtesy to nod back.

Somehow I was pulled into the chaos, with a tall brunette lifting me onto his shoulders.

I laughed along with it, seeing Tommy's gleeful expression in my peripherals. He was chatting with the pink-haired boy from yesterday, barely able to be heard over all the noise.

Outside of it all, I faintly heard an obnoxious riff being blown into a saxophone.

"Tubbo! Your name's Tubbo, right?" The senior shouted up at me, making eye contact. "Yeah, that's me!" I confirmed.

"If I drop you, do you trust Adrienne and Fundy to catch you?!"

I glanced behind me to see a tall girl with lavender hair and a confident expression, as well as the redhead from earlier.

"Honestly? No!" I answered back, noticing a few more eyes than before on me. It was getting a bit quieter, after all.

"Fair enough. DREAM! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" He called, and the leader looked up from his saxophone with a grin.

"COMING, COMING!" He rolled his eyes, placing the woodwind down and walking over.

"Now do you trust me?"

"Sure-" I agreed, and not even a second later, I found myself falling.

I take back everything that I said.
