"have a good night?" ashton asked as luke sat beside him on the couch. "yeah, it was hilarious. you should've seen his face." "so it's a boy then?" ashton raised his eyebrows. "mhm." "i would join, but you know," ashton shrugged his shoulders and luke got what he meant. "yeah, i know. it would be cool if you could come with me, though." ashton nodded, getting up, "i'm going to bed, you always have me up all night because i wait for you to get home to make sure you're safe." "alright." "don't be up too much longer, you know you're cranky when you don't get enough sleep." ashton called, walking down the hall. luke thought about the look in michael's eyes again. filled with fear, uncertainty, he was terrified. luke's got a lot of people to move out of the apartment, some on the first night. but he watched as michael shakily walked back to his bed. he could tell that he would've been out of there in an instant if there was another place to go. but there wasn't, so he had to stay. it almost made luke feel bad, but he remembered what the reason for it all was, and then that feeling went away. 'there's no reason to feel bad, i'm doing this for a reason.' he kept saying it in his head. when he finally crawled into bed and closed his eyes, he only saw michael's.
