michael knew calum wouldn't be awake at 7 in the morning, but he called him anyway, he didn't care if he woke him up. "what the hell do you want at 7 in the morning, michael?" calum asked groggily. "i need to come over, i need to tell you something." michael bit his lip. "for christ's sake, fine. hurry up before i fall back asleep though." calum hung up and michael sighed of relief.
michael pulled into calum's driveway, hurrying ouy of his car. he didn't bother knocking, he never did. "cal?" he called. "in my room." he heard, and he walked up the steps. calum laid on his bed while he scrolled on his laptop that was on his stomach, and he was eating out of a cereal box. michael sat next to him. "so what was so important that you woke me up at 7?" calum asked, not taking his eyes off the screen. "last night, in the new apartment, something weird happened." "elaborate." calum said, shoving more cereal in his mouth. "i went to bed, and i woke up to a loud noise. when i walked to the living room, and the tv was static. i couldn't find the remote, and the lights started flickering. and i saw someone or something standing behind the tv." calum's eyes widened. "and you're sure it wasn't a dream?" "i know it wasn't." michael answered. "hm. maybe i'll spend the night with you, see what's all up. it sounds kind of cool." calum shrugged. "trust me, its not cool."
it was around 12, calum and michael both sat in the living room. "well nothing's happened so far." calum said, sounding disappointed. "i think it happened around 3, maybe that's what'll happen tonight." michael said. he was tired, and he could tell calum was too, but they couldn't sleep, they had to stay awake.
both of them ended up falling asleep. however, at 3, the sound came back, the tv static came back. "where's the remote? i thought you had it!" michael could barely hear calum over the sound. the lights began flickering again. "michael what the hell is happening!?" calum covered his ears. "i-i don't know!" michael shouted, covering his ears now. calum eyes widened as he grabbed michael's shoulder. there the figure was, behind the tv again. calum screwed his eyes shut. michael screamed and now covered his eyes. the earpiercing sound only continued to grow. then all at once, it stopped. "just like last night," michael's voice was shaky. "it just stopped all at once.." "what the hell kind of apartment do you live in?" "...i don't know."
