Episode 8: time travelling27th July 2023 marks the day of the Armistice Agreement between both parties of the Korean War. Seventy years ago, at 10 am in Panmunjom, the senior delegations of the US, the UN, North Korea, the Korean People's Army, and Chinese People Volunteers acknowledged each other and signed the Agreement to ensure a cessation until a final peaceful settlement was achieved. In general, many people think the war ended on the 27th of July 1953, which is incorrect. The battles have ended, and everyone retreated with hefty losses.
It was in 2021 when both countries decided to end the war between them formally, almost 70 years later.
"When you think of it, it's like the world wars, " Mina explained to the group walking in Hongdae's streets. "The big Allies may have made peace amongst themselves and on their land, but never in history have all countries in the world signed a peace agreement. Since the second world war, there have been endless battles and wars. Just different playgrounds."
"No one is taking the land into the afterlife with them", Jonghyun commented.
"Power is a big motivator", Ayla had said.
"We all know that great power comes with great responsibility, but it's not playable in our world. Should never be the excuse", Faras agreed.
A group of dancers was doing a street performance, too, and our people stopped in their tracks to watch them.
"Do you dance?" one of them asked Tala, and she nodded. In the next song, Tala danced among the dance group as if she had always belonged to them, exciting the crowds and collecting cheers from everyone born to be a performer!

The last ruling, an independent kingdom of Korea, is known as the Joseon Dynasty, which lasted for almost 500 years, beginning in 1392. They were a very advanced culture through trade, literature, science, and technology. Even today, our modern culture is still influenced by and based on the Joseon Dynasty culture. It was a strong kingdom until the late 16th and early 17th centuries when the evasions of the Japanese and East Asian Manchus began to weaken the kingdom. After over 200 years of attempted isolation and trade of diplomatic power with the Western world that was barely successful, the Joseon Kingdom lost its power. 1905, Japan gained control over Korea after the Russo-Japanese War.
