Ch3: Mother Hen
Kagami Taiga had always been a fierce and independent person, with his intimidating personality and gruff demeanour. However, the Generation of Miracles and Seirin had noticed a new side of him lately – one that was nurturing and motherly.
It started when Kise twisted his ankle during practice, and Kagami immediately rushed to his side with concern etched on his face. From that moment on, Kagami became the go-to person for any injuries or illnesses that the team faced. He would always check up on them, making sure they were taking their medicine, resting enough, and not pushing themselves too hard.
It was strange to see Kagami act like a mother hen, and the team couldn't help but tease him about it. However, Kagami always denied it, insisting that he was just being a responsible teammate.
The first one to notice Kagami's new behaviour was Kuroko, who had always been observant. He found it amusing that Kagami was taking care of them, even though he tried to hide it. "Kagami-kun, you're like a mother hen," Kuroko said, a small smile on his face.
Kagami scowled at the comment, but the others couldn't help but chuckle. "I guess it's true," Aomine said, grinning. "Who would've thought Kagami would be such a softie?"
Midorima crossed his arms, looking thoughtful. "I suppose it's good to have someone looking out for us," he said. "But we shouldn't rely on Kagami too much. We're all capable of taking care of ourselves."
Murasakibara, who was munching on a snack, simply shrugged. "As long as Kagami keeps bringing us food, I don't mind," he said.
The teasing continued throughout the day, but Kagami didn't seem to mind. He continued to check up on them, offering advice and support whenever they needed it.
It wasn't until they faced their toughest opponent yet that they truly appreciated Kagami's nurturing side. They were up against a team that was stronger and more skilled than they were, and the pressure was getting to them. They had never been in this position before, and it was clear that they were struggling.
But Kagami refused to let them give up. He rallied them, giving them pep talks and encouraging them to keep fighting. He was like a coach, pushing them to be their best selves.
In the end, they managed to pull off a win, and it was all thanks to Kagami's guidance. As they celebrated their victory, they couldn't help but feel grateful for Kagami's motherly instincts.
"Thanks, Kagami," Hyuga said, clapping him on the back. "We couldn't have done it without you."
Kagami grinned, looking pleased but slightly embarrassed. "I told you guys, I'm just being a good teammate," he said.
But they all knew the truth – Kagami had become a mother hen, and they were grateful for it. They couldn't have asked for a better teammate.
