THE BELL TOLLED AT MIDNIGHT, and like a very tired Cinderella, Gojo Sene rolled into the gravel path of the Kinzoku Estate with a gaggle of Gojo children in tow. The limousine stopped at the entrance, the large twisted iron of the gates welcoming the family into the property as the rest of the guests made their way through the pathway and into the vast gardens that surrounded the manor.

Sene stepped out of the car with an elegant dark gown while her gloved hand accepted the help of her youngest. Meanwhile, on the other side of the black limousine and with a scowl clearly visible in his face, one half of the Gojo twins huffed while the eldest of them all simply whistled as his ocean eyes surveyed the shadow of the main house, which could be seen even in the pitch blackness of the night.

Satoru sighed, adjusting the lapels of his shirt before he turned back towards the car, holding the door open while the youngest of the Gojo siblings stepped out, the trail of her white dress pooling at her feet as soon as her heels hit the ground. Sene rounded the car, a small polite smile playing on her lips as she nodded towards the driver who soon backed out of the path and headed towards the parking lot on the other side of the property.

Setsuki smiled at her brother, clutching her purse close as she halted her steps, taking a moment to appreciate the view. The last time the young Gojo had been invited to the spiralling gardens of the manor had been during Keisuke's funeral, which had taken place over four months ago. The gardens had been beautifully decorated then, even when the sour nature of the festivities, but nothing could compare to the visual that flickered in the woman's gaze.

"Wow" Setsuki mumbled as she took in the view in front of her.

The sparkles in her dress were almost completely drowned between the glittering lights that had been placed at both sides of the pathway that lead into the ballroom. There were garlands of beautiful colour that lined the path and lanterns that had been planted on the wet ground, a procession of light that lead directly to the house. The woman smiled, brushing a strand of dark hair away from her face as she craned her neck up to stare at her brother – unlike the rest of the Gojo siblings, Setsuki had inherited her father's dark hair and his pale brown eyes, yet her beauty was almost comparable to that of her mother.

"The Kinzoku certainly know how to entertain their guests, don't they?" she asked humouredly, yet her eyes remained cold as she watched her brother, a calculating tint behind her large brown irises.

Satoru pressed his lips into a tight line, refusing to entertain his sister's train of thought. Although Setsuki was the tamest out of all of them, she still had a penchant of stirring drama whenever she was bored – which apparently meant tonight was going to be a very difficult and tedious chore.

The girl cackled, amused at Satoru's lack of merriment before she stalked off towards the path and out of view. Satoru watched her disappear into the crowd, brows furrowed as he tried to decipher her plans – unfortunately for him, her Gojo blood afforded her a certain advantage when it came to his Six Eyes, meaning he was completely blind when it came to his dear sister.

Whatever, Setsuki was a fucking savage anyway; she could take care of herself.

Still, Satoru couldn't help but agree with his sister's irritating comment. The Kinzoku had, once again, outdone themselves with the décor – and he hadn't even stepped into the building yet, but he could already tell the details there would also match the grandiose ornaments already lined up outside. Satoru shook his head, letting out a heavy sigh and giving his family a once over one last time. Sene was still standing at the entrance, her finely manicured hands holding on to a cane as she slowly made her way towards the path.

By her side and with an annoyed expression on his face walked Satoshi, who unlike his twin brother had been blessed with attending the party instead of tending to his non-existent wife. Maybe Seichiro had been the smartest of them all, getting married and pumping her so full of heirs he got to skip all of these mindless affairs. When she finally mustered the strength to climb all the way up the garden, Sene walked over to her grandson, her small beady eyes narrowing as she took him in.
