Chapter One

Y/n Perspective

"I've got you y/n, I've got you.." A deep voice soothingly whispered as I had been gently picked up from my dying state.

I could feel myself slowly dying, and I could feel the process all over my body, bleeding to death.

I couldn't even react, I just let the man pick me up. The man carried me to his car, laying me in the backseat as I struggled to keep my eyes open.

"I'll get you a doctor immediately, alright y/n? But please, I need you to keep your eyes open for me, yeah?" The man kindly asked as he tightly band-aided my gun wounds to stop the bleeding.

Once he had finished putting the bandaid on all of my wounds, he got in the drivers seat and immediately started driving, speeding through the traffics and the roads until he finally stopped.

Right outside a big building.

He quickly got out his seat and opened my door to take me out. He once again carried me into the operating room as I just stared at him.

He had freckles, many freckles, blonde hair, who was he?...

"The doctor will fix you y/n, alright? Please fight through this, please, " the man pleaded as the bed I had been on was taken into the operating room.

"You brought her in time, Mr.lee. Otherwise, she would have bled to death. We removed all the bullets and bandaided her up. She will wake up soon, " the doctor reassured as he walked out of the operating room.

The blonde man sighed in relief as he stared at the girl laying asleep in the operating room.

"You can go inside if you'd like to see her, but please don't wake her up just now," the doctor once again said, to which the man nodded.

"Oh right, I'm very sorry," the doctor apologized, looking down in guilt. The man gave him an odd look.

"Why are you sorry? Is there an issue?" The blonde man asked, confused.

"I- I couldn't save your child," the doctor said one last time, sadly.

The blonde man's heart slightly dropped, baby? He could feel the rage filling his heart. This is what hyunjin did to this poor girl?!

"It's alright, I'll be going in now," the blonde man excused, as he went inside to where y/n was.

The man just stared at her. As he gently caressed her cheek, she didn't deserve any of this.

Her face was all bruised up, purple, with cuts every here and there.

The man went by the window as he needed to clear his mind. The anger he had for hyunjin right now couldn't be explained. What was he thinking impregnating this girl just to kill her afterwards.

The man sighed sadly until he heard groans from behind him, causing him to turn around immediately.

He rushed over to y/n as she groaned in pain and then opened her eyes. As her vision was still blurry, she couldn't tell who was standing over her helping her.

Soon, her vision was returned. It was the same guy who carried her in.

Y/n removed the oxygen tank from her mouth.

"Who are you?..." she softly whispered.

"Y/n, I'm glad you're awake. I'm Felix Lee, " I responded. Y/n just stared at me. She looked exhausted. Soon, tears started filling her eyes as she sobbed quietly.

"Where's my dad, I want my dad, please," she cried, I felt so guilty right now...

"I'm really sorry y/n, your dad is gone, but please let me explain everything to you, please," I pleaded.

"Y/n, i-im from the same mafia family, the hyunjin one, I know what happened and what he did, but y/n, I left that world. I left the mafia business, I couldn't let you die there alone, I had no choice but to save you. I'm really sorry, y/n, I'm truly very sorry..." I sadly sighed as I couldn't look her in the eyes.

She just stared at me.

"Why did hyunjin do this to me? I loved him so much, but I don't think he loved me, right?..." she sadly questioned, to which I just shook my head no.

I couldn't tell her about the baby just yet, I would tell her, but not right now.

"Y/n, we will leave tomorrow, alright? That's why I need you to rest until tonight and tomorrow evening. This country is no longer safe for us. If they know you're alive, and that I saved you, they will kill us both, I don't think I will be able to save you this time" I sadly said, now looking at her.

Y/n looked like she was about to faint, I quickly started gently stroking her head, and soon she had fallen asleep.

We were gonna leave tomorrow, I don't care if she doesn't know me yet, I won't let her get killed for the crime of being completely innocent.

The most important thing right now was keeping mine and y/ns identity hidden and staying on the low.

I left without saying a word that's already suspicious enough, I have no idea what they'll do if they find y/n alive..
