Aspen takes off my shirt. I blush as they run their fingers through my hair. I take off their shirt. I begin to kiss their bodies. They quietly moan in my ear as I go lower. I stopped but I knew I had to keep going. I take off their pants and bite their thighs and they make a groan. I let go "I'm sorry, you're not used to vampire behavior" I chuckled. I took off their pants. Aspen instantly stopped shuffling back to the end of the bed. I knew what I did wrong I made them insecure.

"Stop," they muttered. I sit on the other end of the bed. We sit there quietly as Aspen quivers. I look over at them and see them slowly transform into a bird as they begin to breathe heavily clenching their chest. "Aspen?" I asked. They started crying which soon turned into a squawk. I grab their wings, rubbing my thumb on them, calming them down. Once they turn into a hawk I allow them on my figure and have them stand there. I read their thoughts. They were scared.

"I'm sorry Aspen I hurt you, I had to, I hope you can forgive me," I said as the bird looked at me as the bird looked down. I got the feeling he knew I had to. I turned off the t.v. and sat on the bed. My phone rings as it plays a tune the bird dances. I chuckle. Without asking I open my music app and turn it into an upbeat song. Aspen dances around swaying back and forth. I smile as they take their wings and jester me forward. I smile and stand on my feet looking into their yellow eyes as I dance to the beat of the drum. Our embarrassment leads to laughter as Aspen turns back to a human. Falling into my arms as we laugh at the music playing in the background.

Aspen pins me to the wall. Their animal-like strength frightens me at first as I see bear claws on my bleeding wrist. Aspen, let's go. I could sense their emotion; they felt they were losing control. I grab their paws and look them in the eyes. Letting them know it'll be ok as I kiss them on the cheek. Aspen in a well of tears looks back at me and nods. I grab their soft paw and guide them to my bed. I point to the bed and ask them to lie down then I point to myself. I could see in their eyes something that bothered them. I sit down as they sit down next to me. I hug their bare chest and feel their soft hearts as they cry into the shoulder.

We held each other's embrace as the sun began to rise over the closed curtains. I let go of the hug and grab their shoulder looking into their piercing eyes as I wipe their warm wet tears away. I show them my wrist as I offer them a drink of theirs. We both nod, staring at each other's gaze as we begin to bite into the soft flesh. I see and feel their confections, their new power makes them feel like a monster. I kept looking at them. I just admired this person for everything about their small body, smooth skin, and large heart. I felt their heart pitter-patter. If I could convey the word I would love them.

I and so did Aspen as we painted catching our breath we wiped the sticky silva off our bodies and kissed. I crawl into bed as Aspen does and we turn off the music. I kiss Aspen on the head as I roll over to the side and slowly doze off. I feel a warm body snuggle against me. I hear their heartbeat throughout the night and I sleep soundly. I wake up and see Aspen put on clothes. I quietly pretend to be asleep as they crawl back into bed and snuggle up next to me. I curl over and kiss their head as I know they pretend to be asleep. I go to look in the mirror and see nothing as Aspen stands up and does the same.

I pick up my old cloth backpack full of things as we check it to see if things were in it and walk out the door. Toward home. Our ride was quiet until we reached Old Jefferson for gas. There I ask Aspen a question as they plug the nozzle into the pipe. "So Aspen you always lived in Belle Chasse," I asked, "Yeah, why?" They replied, "Maybe when I go on vacation we can travel," I said. "Travel like where," Aspen asked. I knew I'd traveled a lot so I could help us get away. "Well where have you always wanted to go see the city go somewhere quiet," I said "Wait where have you been," Aspen asked as they took out the nozzle to the gas pump and took the receipt. "San Francisco, Salt Lake, Portland Maine, Tampa, Miami, Austin, DC, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, Vagus, Nashville, Baltimore, Atlanta, Long Beach, and Orlando just to name a few. I can name some smaller cities if you like" I replied
