4. back in buraza town

[The six friends walk around the hallways of Akademi High. It seems as if everyone has been affected by the song of the Basu sisters. Budo had convinced Geiju not to invite Shoku to hang out with them after that, even though the seven had formed a group since Itachi's defeat; they couldn't trust Shoku when he was overtaken by... whatever this was. Perhaps this was why Geiju seemed less attentive than usual, his mind somewhere else as he walked.]

[Next to Geiju walked Miyuji, who pat him on the back. In front of them were Gema and Budo, who were whispering—and talking shit—about everyone they passed by, pointing out their glares and their scowls. Itachi and Tsuruzo led the group, Itachi the one speaking.]

Itachi: Those two are definitely in possession of some kind of dark magic. I can't explain what happened out there otherwise...

Gema: Well, our school's always hated each other... Even before you came to this world, we were separated by clubs and gossiped behind each other's backs, bullied each other, that sort of thing.

Itachi: Yes, but—see, there were couples. You all saw Riku and Daku just suddenly begin arguing. A-and Hojiro and Unagi! Those two are in a relationship with that dude from the Occult Club and it's like they never even became friends, let alone boyfriends.

Geiju [sadly]: And Shoku...

[Itachi looks at him, equally as defeated.]

Itachi: I don't get how he was affected. I thought you all had the magic of friendship within you, or... something.

Miyuji: Shoku didn't pony up when we went against you. Maybe that explains some things?

Budo: But Itachi never ponied up either, and he's not affected by their magic!

Itachi [thoughtfully]: Maybe it's some Equestrian thing... Maybe I wasn't affected by magic because I've used magic as well. Even though I used it to transform into a... uh... demon.

[As they walk through the halls, they reach the Principal's Office.]

Tsuruzo: Well, Principal Kunahito must be of some help, can't she?

Budo: I hope... Or maybe they've affected her too...

[The six exchange glances, then open the doors to the office...]

[Genka gets up from her desk, an accusing eyebrow pointing upwards.]

Genka: Dark magic? I find that hard to believe.

Itachi [sarcastically]: Me too, Sensei! It's not like dark magic didn't make itself present behind the literal back of the school just a few weeks ago.

[Kyoshi, who is there as well, glares at him.]

Kyoshi: Perhaps this is why you've come to us, Zametora. You want someone else to be the bad guy so badly, you have sought out the new kids and put the blame on them, so that your actions at the Fall Formal become old news.

Itachi: I can... [looks away] see why you would think that, [turns back to her] but I swear I—

Gema [slamming his hands on the desk]: I'm sorry? We were literally there, Sensei! All of us! We saw this happened right before our—[he stops and turns to the group to count]—sixteen eyes!

[Tsuruzo mouths something to Geiju, who points to his and Gema's glasses as if to clarify the latter's statement.]

[Both Genka and Kyoshi disapprovingly look at Gema.]

Genka: You five are biased, Takagaki. You have taken Itachi under your wing to—

Tsuruzo [angrily]: Listen, Principal Kunahito, I think you should—
