yamatora kiss - another version

so we're all really happy that yamatora kissed in RRYSAU and are now a thing in TFGYSAU right

what if i told you their iconic moment almost went a different way

yeah so this is a different version of their kiss i ALMOST implemented but i really didn't like it so i took it out and rewrote it - i kept it to show it to you all (kotone and a maximum of two ghost readers /hj) later so here it is!

[Enpitsu, the Gaming Club and Borupen run on the stage. Itachi and Tsuruzo, still holding each other, watch them go up to Gema and Geiju, respectively. They can't exactly hear what they're saying, but Enpitsu has tears in his eyes as he waits for the others to talk to Gema. He looks oddly nervous, and the whole club seems to be crying as they surround Gema in a group hug.]

Itachi: Aw, that's cute. At least they're finally showing him the love he deserves.

Tsuruzo: I'm just glad to see everyone getting along again...

[As Borupen takes Geiju away from the others, the Gaming Club finishes their talk and Enpitsu starts talking to Gema. He's even more nervous now, but all Gema does is smile at him as he rambles.]

Tsuruzo: Ah, isn't that adorable? Romance is in the air. [He smiles at Itachi, a smile with a hidden meaning.] You're good at getting people together.

Itachi: Mm, I wouldn't really say that... I've only played matchmaker once, and it didn't go well.

Tsuruzo: Oh? [he caresses his collar] Did it not?

Itachi: I guess that's an overstatement... [he smirks] To be honest, it never really went anywhere.

[Tsuruzo looks at him with those eyes of his, and it drives him crazy—but it's a good kind of crazy. It's a crazy that he would fight for.]

Tsuruzo: Would you like it to go somewhere?

[If possible, their eye contact gets heavier. Something shifts. Something begs to be told. For the first time since arriving to this world, Itachi gets it out.]

Itachi: More than anything.

[Tsuruzo grabs his collar and pulls him in slightly, so that they're just inches apart.]

Tsuruzo: Then kiss me already, you idiot.

[So, Itachi locks their lips together, and they get lost in each other—and it's everything he could have ever wished for.]

[It doesn't matter that they're on the stage, that people can see them; actually, it doesn't even matter that their friends—and the whole audience—begins to cheer, because they can't even hear or see it. They can't hear the many 'Called it' and 'Knew it' in the crowd, couldn't see Gema and Enpitsu making 'up' as well, couldn't even care. All that matters is that they're holding each other, like they were always meant to, and that it feels right.]

[And you know what? It is right.]

[It finally all feels right.]
