Chapter 2: Water is thicker then blood

As I was looking out towards the sea with the sun setting and an ice pack on the back of my head from when Smoker hit me, my thoughts went back to Zoro and Kuina. I know where Zoro was but not where Kuina was, this was terrifying me but I should believe in Kuina better, she wouldn't let anyone take her out. As I was in thought to myself I heard someone sitting next to me and what sounded like a long object being placed on the ground.
"You really should stop teasing Captain Smoker like that (Y/N)." Tashigi sighed as I laughed, looking at her with a smile on my face.
"Nah it's way too funny to do so." I replied as I saw a small bit of pink on her face, to which I placed a hand on her forehead and her face grew more red.
"W-W-why are you doing that (Y/N)" Tashigi asked as I shook my head.
"Your face seemed red, you don't seem to have a temperature but just in case you should see the healing robot." I said as she scooted away.
"I-I promise I'm fine...that robot is too weird. How many years has it been since those things came into the world?" Tashigi asked as I thought back.
"I think at least 15 years, the old Vice Admiral Trevor Chapstin introduced them. They were so sudden no one, not even Vegapunk understood where they came from." I replied as I heard a sigh from Tashigi.
"Yeah, why does it have to have that personality though? What is a 13 HP." Tashigi asked as we both started laughing.
"Seriously though why are you here Tashigi, don't you have your scouting to do?" I asked as she shook her head.
"I got off early...and I-I wanted to make sure you were okay." She said with a blush on her face, I chuckled at this and pulled her in for a side hug.
"Well thanks, that means a lot for you to look out for me." I smiled as I felt her head rest on my shoulder.
"It's no problem (Y/N)." She smiled as my eyes slowly drifted to sleep

"(Y/N)...I-I love you, " Tashigi smiled as she looked at the sleeping body of the Vice-Captain, chuckling slightly as she saw he was asleep "maybe it's not time yet"

A couple days had passed and I was waiting in the shopping district for Tashigi, she told me we were going shopping for a new sword for her. I don't know why I have to be there though, she just told me I had to and after I fell asleep on her the other night I wasn't about to say no. As I was standing outside the weapon shop waiting for her (I had arrived ten minutes earlier) a familiar set of Green Hair approached. My eyes widened as I heard the familiar jingle of their earring I got them for their tenth birthday. They looked at me with a cocky smile and I simply approached to give him a hug, which he reciprocated. "Been years brother, how've you been?" I asked before pulling back, giving Zoro a firm handshake.
"A lot of stuff has happened, what about you? I heard you're a marine now." Zoro smirked as I turned my back from him, showing off my Vice Captain coat proudly.
"Yeah and a high ranking one at that, what about you," I asked, the smile fading from my face "I heard the rumours youre now a pirate."
Zoro looked at me awkwardly as he swiftly moved past me and entered the sword shop. I let out a growl at this as I followed him, wanting a response.

"Answer me Roronoa." I said, his name was feared, I knew this, so I neglected using his first name.
"Yeah it's true, you'd like our Captain though he is a good guy." He whispered before browsing the swords.
I let out a groan, I promised myself if I saw him I would accept his decision to become a pirate...but him originally dodging the subject like that really pissed me off. I heard the bell of the door opening behind us as I turned around out of trying to calm down and there was Tashigi standing there. "There you are (Y/N), I thought you ditched me." She smiled as I looked at her, this was bad.
First of all she knew my brothers name after I told her about it, she also knew the rumours about him becoming a pirate so I couldn't let her know this was Zoro. Secondly it does look like I ditched her so I would have to deal with that too.
"Oh Tashigi sorry, I saw my cousin uhhh Zolo here and couldn't resist seeing him more. Haven't seen him for years sorry." I apologised, Zoro being too busy with the shopkeep to listen.
"Oh that's alright, you never mentioned your cousin to me though." She said, with an awkward look on her face, I didn't like lying to her but I had to for Zoro.
"Yeah we weren't very close sorry, uhh hey Zolo introduce yourself-" I went to say before Tashigi ran pass me to look at zoro's sword what he had put on the desk.
"T-This is the Wado Ichimonji, the straight road of peace!" Tashigi exclaimed and as I heard this my heart sunk.
"Wado what?" Zoro replied as I approached, grabbing Zoro by the shirt pulling him towards me in a fit of rage.
"Kuina, what happened to her." I demanded to know in a fit of anger, the Wado Ichimonji was the Shimotsuki's heirloom why would Zoro have it?
"(Y/N), we tried to contact you but we couldn't. She died...fell down a flight of stairs and died a couple months after you left..." He said in a serious tone as I threw him against a barrel of swords.
"BULLSHIT SHE WOULDNT DIE LIKE THAT, IF YOU STOLE THIS THEN I SWEAR-" suddenly I felt a soft hand pull me away from my brother, glaring at them I saw it was Kuina.
"(Y/N)...calm down, there must be a reason Zolo has the sword-" I cut her off by running out the shop.

This couldn't be, she couldn't have died, I WOULDNT ACCEPT IT! Finding myself inside an alleyway I slammed my fist as hard as I could into the brick wall of a building, cracking it slightly as I fell to my knees. She cant be dead...She cant be...she can be...she is...as these thoughts flooded my mind a shadow formed above me as smoke filled the alleyway. "Vice Captain Rorona, we have word Buggy the Clown as well as Straw hat Luffy is on the island. Care to help?" Captain Smoker asked as I nodded, looking up to him with angry eyes stained with tears.
"I'll get those pirates..." I growled as I got myself to my feet slowly, a roulette wheel appearing on the palm of my hand.

Around half an hour later in the middle of the town a group of pirates were running through the streets, a certain swordsman clashing with Master Chief Petty Officer Tashigi. "You tricked me...you tricked (Y /N)...YOU'RE GOING TO PAY-" Tashigi shouted with all her might as the two clashed swords, Zoro retaliating with the Wado Ichimonji.
"I didn't trick anyone, I told him the truth and he refused to-" as the Swordsman of the Strawhat Crew shouted suddenly no words escaped his mouth

Nagi Nagi no Mi

The user of this Devil Fruit has the ability to create a soundproof field. The field makes it so that the sounds inside the field cannot be heard from the outside, and vice versa.

As the two swordsmen looked at the cause of the lack of sound, there stood Vice Captain (Y/N), his justice coat flowing through the harsh wind as the rain bounced off his head. A sword in his hand as he looked at Tashigi giving her a look of 'tail their crewmate, ill take Zoro'. Tashigi immediately backed up running after the fleeing Strawhats.
Immediately realising what was happening Zoro tried chasing Tashigi to which I ran up to him and countered quickly clashing my military assigned sword with his Yubashiri glaring at him as he did. In a blink of an eye sound returned to the clash as the two brothers fought.
"Why are you doing this (Y/N), no matter how much you complain it wont bring her back...I know that from example." Zoro shouted demanding an answer however as he did his brothers skin started turning to stone and around the two a bunch of stone walls surrounded them.

ISHI ISHI NO MI

The Ishi Ishi no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to merge with and manipulate stone, making the user a Stone Assimilation Human

"I'm doing my job as a Marine, stopping pirates like you and holding up justice!" (Y/N) roared as his sword started turning to stone, the walls continuing to slowly close the two in however as he went to slash down at his brother he felt a hand grab the back of the marine's head slamming him into the ground.
"Who are you-" Zoro tried asking before the blonde man in a black hat with a scar over his left eye glared at him.
"I wont be able to stop him for long, regroup with your crew." The man commanded as the Marine Vice-Captain faded through the stone floor appearing standing in front of the man with the black coat and blue shirt.
Without a second thought Zoro started running away, slipping through the cracks of the stone wall just before the wall sealed up.
"You...What business does the revolutionaries have to do with the Strawhat's?" (Y/N) growled as he charged at the man swinging his sword at him which he caught with his hand, gripping it.
"Dragon claw," He shouted as he broke the sword just by gripping it "I don't know, bosses orders." The man chuckled before he saw he rain start to ease up, suddenly jumping out, above the stone wall looking down at the Vice-Captain.
"Answer me properly...Revolutionary Sabo!" (Y/N) as a stone platform formed underneath him pushing the marine towards the revolutionary quickly before vanishing entirely.

GIRO GIRO NO MI!

The Giro Giro no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to see through everything and read the minds of others
