Chapter 5: A Forced Alliance

As we approached the bar, we got ready for anything as we heard people shouting from inside. I looked at Smoker and Tashigi as we heard someone from inside say "What? He's not dead? A false alarm." With a relieved sigh and as we walked in me and smoker immediately saw the man in question, recognising him thanks to the tattoo on his back.
"By the way mister, have you seen this guy around here? He wears a Straw-hat." The pirate said holding up Monkey D. Luffy's wanted poster.
"You've got a lot of nerve showing your face around here." I spoke up as the man in an orange hat turned to look at us.
"What's Whitebeard's second division commander doing here...Portgas D. Ace?" Smoker asked as the man with a single piece of straw in his mouth smirked.
"I'm just looking for my kid brother." He smirked as the people in the bar started to whisper to themselves as they realised who they were looking at.
A minute of awkward silence passed as I stepped forward. "Portgas D. Ace, give yourself up." I spoke as I glared at him.
"Sorry, no can do." The man smirked.
"You're not the pirate we're searching for right now, we're not interested in your head." Tashigi spoke up.
"Then let me go." Ace rebutted leaning against the bar he was sitting at with confidence.
"No can do," Smoker butted in "As long as I'm a Navy and you're still a pirate!" Smoker growled as his smoke started flowing from his body.
"Roulette time!" I exclaimed as a bright light encompassed me.

"After so long of training without my Devil Fruit it feels so good back." I smirked as I looked over to smoker when someone planted themselves in Smokers back, sending the captain flying.
"Ahaha, A restaurant I'm Starving!" Cried Straw hat Luffy as I Immediately fired a light beam at Straw-hat Luffy to which Portgas D Ace blocked with a torrent of fire.
"Don't go firing that at random- LUFFY!" He called with a grin on his face.
"Straw-hat!" Smoker called out, recovering from the cheap shot as Tashigi whispered in my ear.
"If he is here, your brother should be too. I'll go search for him." Tashigi whispered.
"Don't get in combat, just learn where their ship is." I whispered back.
"Stop Eating!" Smoker called as Straw-hat Luffy had food in front of him.
"Ur dat moke duy, bat'er u nooing heo?" Luffy exclaimed with his mouth full before running out of the restaurant, Ace chasing after him.
"Smoker don't worry I'll catch up to him!" I called as using the Pika Pika no mi I moved at lightspeed appearing in front of Luffy, grabbing his hand.
After swallowing Luffy said "You're Zoro's brother!" Luffy exclaimed as he stretched his arm, grabbing a roof top dragging us upwards hoping to shake me off.
"You're gonna pay for corrupting my brother!" I exclaimed.

Meanwhile Tashigi was hiding behind a wall eavesdropping on the Straw-hat's conversation, not knowing who was who apart from Zoro.
"Alright we have all the supplies we need to cross the desert." A female voice spoke.
"Vivi where did you say we're headed?" A male voice asked as Tashigi held back a gasp, that woman's voice was Princess Vivi of Alabasta!
"First of all we have to stop the rebels, before they bathe this land in blood! So, we're going to find their base and leader. It's in an oasis known as Yuba and going to Yuba means-" Princess Vivi then gasped as it sounded like she was dragged away.
"Hide!" Roronoa Zoro...(Y/N)'s brother exclaimed.
"It's the navy, what're they doing here?" Zoro asked as Tashigi looked over and saw Straw-hat Luffy running with (Y/N) not letting go of him.
"(Y/n)!" Tashigi exclaimed as Zoro peaked around the corner seeing Tashigi.
"What?! (Y/N) is here and so are you?!" Zoro exclaimed as from the distance Straw-hat called out.
"Hey Zoro, help get your brother off me!"
"There's Straw-hat's crew, get them!" One of our marines called out as a group of them started charging at the Straw-hats who then all booked it.
"Why...Why was Princess Vivi willingly with them?" Tashigi asked herself.

Back with Luffy and I, Smoker finally almost caught up however he was intercepted by Portgas D. Ace using his devil fruit. "You may be Smoke, but I'm fire. Let's settle this now!" Ace smirked as Luffy looked back.
"Ace!" Luffy called out with a grin on his face before I punched him in the face.
"Give up already!" I called as I was still holding onto the same wrist I was before.
"Oh I didn't forget about you, Shishishi." Luffy laughed as suddenly one of the Straw-hat's crew tied me up as my Devil Fruit ran out.
"Damnit!" I called out as the Blonde man tied me up and carried me as the crew ran back to their ship.
"(Y/N), No!" I heard Tashigi call from the distance as she tried to follow but she tripped up, losing her glasses as I went for a facepalm but I couldn't since I was tied up.

As all the Straw-hats and Princess Vivi got on the ship I was approached by Zoro who knelt down to me. "Why'd you have to become a marine?" Zoro asked as I growled at him.
"Why did you have to become a pirate! Our father was killed by pirates I don't know if you remember!" I growled, giving him the harshest glare I could muster.
"Because I was going to be executed by the marines YOU joined, Luffy saved me and that's why I'm pursuing Piracy." Zoro growled.
"They what, What did you do?" I asked shocked but still angry at Zoro.
"Captain Morgan's son was disrespecting a place which fed me when I was broke, I stood up for them and they tied me up for what was supposed to be a month with the intention of executing me even if I survived," Zoro explained "is that the type of justice you marines try to uphold, that level of tyranny?" Zoro exclaimed.
"So what if there is one bad egg, we're genuinely trying to help the public be free of the monstrous pirates which try and ruin the lives of so many people!" I exclaimed back as the orange haired woman of the Straw-hats approached.
"Shut up you two, you're giving me a headache." She sighed as I looked over to her and then Princess Vivi.
"You're the missing princess...right?" I asked, wanting some context on why a princess would travel with pirates.
"They're good people, they helped tons of people during our time together. Drum Island was being attacked by the old king there, Wapol and they saved everyone. There was two giants on an island called little garden and they saved them from being attacked by Baroque Works. They're good people." She reiterated as I looked at the crew and sighed, either this is a serious case of Stockholm Syndrome or she is telling the truth.
"Good or not it doesn't matter, the marines will find me and you won't be able to make it out of the island." I warned, knowing that what I said was true.
"He makes a good point, what'll you do brother?" The Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates chuckled, crouching on the side of the Straw-hat's vessel.
"Ace!" Straw-hat grinned as he turned to see his apparent brother.
"Yo," Ace said casually, and if I wasn't here he just turned to the rest of the pirate crew "Greetings all, thanks for looking after my kid brother." Ace bowed as my brother and the long nosed one bowed to the Yonko commander.
"Don't mention it." Long nose replied.
"What're you doing in Alabasta Ace?" Luffy immediately asked.
"Huh? Didn't you get my message on Drum Island?" Ace replied as the conversation continued with me being ignored the whole time as they started talking about Straw-hat being offered to join Whitebeards crew and immediately saying no to it. Eventually Ace gave Straw-hat what looked like a Vivre Card, then focusing back on me.
"Oh hi didn't expect to see you here, been here long? I have." I rolled my eyes,
"Let your marines know not to try and follow me." Ace smirked.
"When I get out of these ropes you'll be the least of my concerns as ill be selling out the location of Straw-hats ship." I replied with a glare.
"Hmm...hey Luffy why don't we take him with us, then he cant sell our ship out to his marines. It'd be our best bet." The long nosed man said as I looked at him, somewhat smart as annoying as it is for me.
"How will we know he wont run away back to his squad though?" The orange haired woman asked as Princess Vivi walked up to me.
"By the command of the Princess of Alabasta, one of the Kingdoms who pay the heavenly tax, you will not leave the side of at least one of my temporary official guards, nor attack them." Princess Vivi commanded as I let out a sigh.
"I can only one I can't guarantee I will attack is Straw-hat Luffy, you don't have the power to stop me hunting a pirate...though the others I shall not touch due to them not having bounties." I sighed, I had to admit though she knew her stuff.
"Good now that's settled take care of my brother for me, okay?" Ace asked as he jumped off the ship. I couldn't see what went on after that though a loud shout happened before what sounded like a huge torrent ripped through some ships.
"FIRE FIST!" Portgas D. Ace called, his voice getting quieter as he moved away leaving me alone with the people I am forced to have a temporary alliance with, though Captain Smoker and Tashigi aren't in the same position as me. Just got to hope and pray they find me soon so I can return to my squad.
