Authors note: Im starting to rewrite this lol. Might take a bit for the next chapter to come out, as for this i just changed some stuff, took out some stuff, and added some stuff, but the next chapter im rewriting entirely. Oh and Sun is the only pirate captain now heh heh. You'll find out what Moon and Eclipse are later

Your tummy is growling again.

For the last five hunting trips the crews have been small and your siblings ate all of the stupid humans before you could.

Its unfair. Just because your the youngest, doesnt mean everyone else should get food before you. Like, come on people, learn to share!

But its not going to change. Its just how sirens do it. Its life or death, even if its someone from the same pod.

Though you see a fish swim past you, and you look around for a bit before quickly snatching it and shoving it into your mouth.

Thankfully, you finish it by the time your eldest sister, the leader of your pod, Ajani, comes back from the surface.

You and the rest of the pod who is on the sea floor turn your attention to the biggest out of all seventeen of you.

"Ok everyone it's time for another hunting trip. I see a ship in the distance. It may be a bit dark, and foggy, but we can manage."

You sigh before watching as all of your siblings follow her, and you get up as well to follow, sneaking up to the ship.

She leaves you all in one spot so she can circle the ship, making sure there isn't any sign of it being a hunting ship, before coming back, settling with the rest of you with a nod.

And you start to sing the siren song.

Technically, there are many for different purposes.

Like if you're lost, theres one to find your pod, and each pod has unique songs. Though each song is the same at the base, they are all at least a bit different.

And this song is hypnotize the humans and get them to cause the ship to sink so that your pod can get to the crew.

And judging by how big the ship is, it should be a good amount for all of you to eat.

Though after several minutes of nothing happening, its clear that somethings wrong.

Why isnt anything happening yet?

You and your siblings all look at each other, confused, before increasing your voices, making the song louder.

But after a bit, a very strange sound to your pod is heard.

Yelling.

That's...not normal.

What is going on.

The loudest you've heard has been screams, and usually those are a bit muffled by the water, as usually the humans snap out of it and start screaming by the time they are in the water.

Suddenly you hear a loud boom.

You gasp and clutch the fins at the sides of your face, your ears ringing because of the loud sound, and as something large is shot into the water, you are pushed back a bit by the waters reaction, and you are quickly disoriented.

You open your eyes with a whine of pain just as you see some of your siblings finish recovering and dive under the water.

Your eyes widen as you snap back into awareness, watching your siblings dissapear, before shrieking, your voice not as melodious as it would be underwater.

"Wait WAIT guys wait for me-!!"

Before you can finish your words, you feel something fall around you just as you start to dive ans follow your pod, and another shriek leaves you as you feel yourself being lifted into the air, out of the water.

Frantically you squirm, your eyes wide with panic as you shriek for your siblings again. 

"WAIT PLEASE, GUYS, HELP ME!!!!"

You feel tears prick your eyes as you see none of your pod come back up, and see the water grow further away as you are lifted further into the air.

Its not fair....its not fucking fair...you dont care that this is how sirens do it, you dont care about the life or death, you want your siblings to show some fucking care and help you for once!

But clearly, even now they wont help you.

By the time you feel your body thump onto the deck of the ship, tears are streaming down you cheeks.

They didnt save you. They didnt even try. They didnt risk themselves for you, they abandoned you.

Left you to your fate.

Your own family.

The only people you've ever known.

You didnt even know your parents, they had been gone by the time you and your pod hatched.

And sure theres other sirens, but the most you did was fight them.

You finally look up wearily as you hear footsteps coming towards you, and you quickly realize why the hunt didnt succeed.

Animatronics.

Strange beings made of some material that hurts to try and bite. They've spoiled quite a few of yours and your pods hunts as some crews have an animatronic or two, but once or twice your pod has sunk a ship that had animatronics on it.

Your pod quickly learned not to try and eat them, as well as quickly learned that they arent affected by the sirens song.

And the entire crew seems to be animatronics.

Oh fuck.

Thats why it didnt work.

You shrink into yourself as one of the many animatronics, a tall animatronics whos features you cant see that well with the sun behind them making it hard to quite look up at them without squinting.

You arent able to see much other than their feet, but after a bit they crouch down, getting just a bit closer to your level, and the rays of the sun arent right behind them anymore.

And you quickly find that they are like the literal sun.

And quite large compared to you.

Their face almost looks flat and is yellow, triangles that look like petals or something around their head, many piercings in each 'petal.' 

Across their yellow face there is orange freckles, while their half lidded eyes are sky blue.

Around their neck is a red bandana, and they wear a loose white shirt, a sleeveless maroon vest, red and yellow striped harem pants, red cloth around their waist, and more red cloth around their ankles and the middle of their feet which have no shoes on them.

On their face is an expression that is a mix between bored and pissed, and you watch the animatronics gaze scan over your trapped form, an eyebrow raising when they notice the tears on your cheeks but not saying about it.

Finally you hear them speak.

"So...this is one of th' damned fish that tried t' sink ma ship......"
