Unexpected Truth

China called pops and told him she was coming in town. Which of course I was excited. Pops seemed different after they got off the phone.

Pops put his hands over his face. I went over to him.

"Pops what's wrong"

"China coming over"

"What's wrong with China"

"Nothing" he said I could tell he's lying

I sat next to him

"Pops how long is she staying"

"A week"

"That's not that long" I said

"Long enough to start trouble"

"Pops!" I yelled. He looked up

"Boy! Don't raise yo voice at me"

"Sorry pops, but there's nothing going to happen"

He looked back down.

3 hours later.....

China rings the bell

Pop runs to answer it

"Hey daddy" China said loud

"Shhh! Ty is here" pops said quiet

"You still didn't tell him" China said sounding sad

China walked in

"You have to tell him the truth. I want him to know"

"I will, later at dinner"

"Ok" China said, like she knew he was lying.

China went to my Keisha's room

"Who are you?" China asked

"Im Keisha who is you"

"China, Ty's sis-" she started to say. "Cousin"

"Oh im his girlfriend" Keisha looked her up and down

"Well" China put her stuff down "this is my room"

''Ok....." Keisha said

"Can't you sleep with Ty" China asked

''Sure, don't touch my stuff"

"Nobody want yo stuff, why are there diapers and stuff"

"My baby"

"You have a baby?"

"About to, Ty is the father"

"He didn't tell me" China said

"Well, too bad'' Keisha walked out. She came in my room and woke me up.

"Ty" she said

"Yeah man" I said half sleep

"China's here"

I woke up all the way and jump out of bed. I ran to her and hugged her tight.

"CHINA!!!!!!" I yelled

"Hey Tyrone. What's up lil bro" she said without caring

"Nothing really, I got a lot to tell you." I said leaving Keisha in my room alone.

We want downstairs where momma and pops was.

"So guess what" I asked her as we sat down

"What's up" she said looking interested

"Me and Keisha having a baby"

I looked at the top of the staircase and saw her standing there smiling. Then I smiled. She goes back in our room.

"Give me a minute." I say to China.

"Ok"

I go upstairs.

"Why don't you come downstairs with us"

"I don't want to sit with your cousin" she said

"What's wrong with her"

"He thinks shes so this and that"

"Baby!" Keisha looks at me

"She only been here a half an hour and you think she doing to much"

"I know she doing too much tf" Keisha says sitting on the bed.

"Wow! Why are you so jealous. You liked CoCo, what's wring with China?"

"There not the same"

"How come"

"Coco is likable"

"China's not?" I asked

"Are you taking her side"

"Are you hating" I said

I suddenly heard China and pops yelling at each other. I rushed downstairs.

"He should know!" China said

"No, he shouldn't. Everybody been doing good until you came"

"What's going on" I said

"Ty, daddy has to tell you something"

"Pops, why she call you daddy,"

"China, I told you that I'll tell him"

"Go ahead, tell him"

Keisha can out the room

"Ty, China is my daughter."

"Wait what!"

"I'm your sister Tyrone. CoCo is your little sister and daddy just wanted to hide it" China said looking at pops mad

"Why you had to hide it" I asked

"You don't understand, Ty"

"How I don't fucking understand pops? Huh? Tell me that!" I started to raise my voice

"Ty!" China yelled at me. That for some reason calmed me down.

I went upstairs and Keisha followed me back into the room.

"Ty, you should be happy"

"I am but pops should've never hid it from me"

"But I didnt know that's CoCo and China was sisters."

"Yeah they are"

Just talking to Keisha made me feel better. China walked in and Keisha didn't even get up.

"Keisha, first, I'm sorry how we started off. We're family now. And I want to be ok with you. And Ty, I'm sorry I was listening to daddy. I should've told you myself."

"Yeah, I feel that way too man."

Keisha rubbed my back. I dropped my head and China got up and let out. And again pops came in.

"I don't wanna talk to you man" I said as he made his way in "I just don't"

"This my house" I looked at my walls. "I feel we need to talk about this"

He sat on my bed, on the other side of me.

"Son, I just felt that after Shaun died you might've not wanted a sibling''

"What made you fucking think that shit" I looked at him

"My young stupid mind.",

"I wanted a sibling. Somebody to comfort me. You and momma was always at work and I was at school and home by myself. Keisha was there for me" I pointed to Keisha and pops looked at her and looked down. "Keisha was there. She was always there. Always" I said and I walked out.

"Mr. Sanders, I think he needs some time."

"Yes, I agree"

He walked out and went to him and momma room. I heard him crying and blaming himself and momma comforting him.

"I just don't wanna lose my last son" I heard him say. Thats what I thought about the rest of day. I just don't wanna lose my last son.
