𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐉𝐎Ã𝐎 wasn't easy. Due to his previous relationship cheating on him, he'd be so clingy with you. Not that it annoyed you - but you weren't a person of love. You didn't know how to talk about your feelings, hence why after half a year of dating you still haven't said the three words to him. Of course he knew you loved him because you did your best to show that with your actions, but you felt him being insecure of you not loving him enough. Of you not being serious with him.

João was leaned against the wall opposite of your big mirror in the bathroom. He was watching you doing your hair and makeup for the day without saying a word, his arms crossed infront of his chest. You looked at him from the mirror.

"Está bem?"

Your boyfriend nodded, gifting you a slight smile.

"Te amo."

You smiled, nodding slowly as you continued doing your makeup. João walked towards you so he could play with your hair - which he loved to do very much - and then put it into a cute hairstyle. As he was finished, you were also done with your makeup and he wrapped his arms around your waist while placing soft kisses on your neck. He closed his eyes.

"Please don't leave me, meu amor."

You sighed, turning around so you could face him.

"I'm not leaving you, João. Ever."

João looked at you with a pained expression on his face and you felt bad about what had happened before. Not only did she cheat on him once, but four times and he couldn't help but go back to her due to the attachment he felt.

"I want you to tell me."

You raised your brow at João's words, before pushing him away slightly so you could walk out of the bathroom. But before, you looked at him.

"You already know that, João. There's no need for me to say it."

João followed you as you walked out of the bathroom to change into different clothes. He sat on the bed, eyeing you.

After putting on your clothes, you picked up your phone. You had an appointment in 20 minutes to a photo shoot for the new collection. Without looking at João, you put everything you needed inside of your handbag, before walking towards the door.

"I'll be back later. Have fun at training."

You bit your lip. You were facing the door, so you didn't see how João was walking towards you from behind, but you kept speaking.

"I... I love you. I really do."

You put your hand on the doorknob, wanting to step out as soon as possible, but João grabbed your wrist and made you turn around. Your back now facing the door, you looked up at him.

Before you could say anything, he connected his lips with yours, kissing you in the most gentle way possible. You closed your eyes giving into the kiss. It wasn't the first time you kissed - but this one felt different. It felt as if both of you were pouring all feelings stuffed inside of you into that kiss.

You were never the one to believe in true love before you met João. You felt like every relationship had its burden and would never work out. But now that you and João just overcame another burden of your relationship, you felt more like its going to work out between the two of you. Like he's the one.

João let go of your lips soon after to catch his breath.

"You never said that."

You laughed softly, suddenly feeling the need to talk to him about your feelings.

"I don't know... It just... felt right. I think you're the one."

João stroked your cheek as he listened to your words which made his stomach turn and his heart want to jump out of his chest.

"You're the best that has ever happened to me, do you know that?"

You couldn't help when suddenly tears started to form in your eyes. It was too much to handle - going from showing no love at all to having a love talk with the person you love most.

"Don't cry, minha vida. You're going to smudge your eye makeup."

He gently wiped the tears away before they could make their way down before kissing the tip of your nose. You smiled at him.

"I better get going now."

You gave him a quick peck on the lips before opening the door to leave.
