⇄ ◃◃ ⅠⅠ ▹▹ ↻The person was Jang Han Seo, chairman of Babel company.
He was talking about something Robin couldn't find out about. She tapped the shoulder of one of the paparazzi. "What is going on?," she asked. He turned his head to her. "The chairman of Babel is going to buy one of the paintings here, probably for Babel to get more relevant," he replied and quickly went back to taking photos.
Robin looked at Han Seo for a moment, and he saw her too, but he was still acting the same. He was great at public acting. She walked back to Cha-young, who had been waiting for her. "Han Seo is going to buy a painting for Babel," she spoke to her. "Those brats should have more mercy. They're all worthless scums," she scoffed while glaring at him. Robin looked at her confused. "What did they do then?" she asked cha-young. "Absolutely horrible stuff. Like murdering innocent people for no reason. The RDU-90 isn't a painkiller. It's a drug that can kill people effortlessly," she replied.
At this, Robin didn't know what to say anymore. I will go later to quit the job, there is no way in 67 million euros I would risk my life being with those kind of people... she pondered about it and the chairman. He was so nice to her. How could that be real? ''You dont believe me? Come on Robs, I'm your best friend. Plus I have proof, I can send it when I'm back home,'' Cha-young spoke. She looked at Han Seo in awe. Robin looked at the entrance. It was behind Han Seo, which means they couldn't go.
"The entrance is blocked, I don't think it's opened anymore for normal visitors. How did you even get a ticket for this day?," she asked cha-young suspiciously. "I don't know, that's strange. I was so sure I booked it for this day. Hold on, I'll check our tickets," she replies, taking out her phone from her bag.
She scrolled in her photos, and eventually found the ticket proof. "Shit! It wasn't for today! It was for tomorrow!," she facepalmed, putting her phone back in her bag disappointingly. "I'm so sorry for wasting your time, how about I treat you to McDonald's instead?," she offered. "Okay, let's go. I want to get out of here quickly," Robin said. She felt like the organs in her stomach were dissolving, letting an empty feeling occupy them. She hated it, and needed a distraction.
A Day Later
Robin had woken up from a bad sleep. What cha-young had told her kept her pondering about it, frozen in thought. Like a frozen pond. She could not believe it, after a few hours she was able to fall asleep fortunately. Now she had to go to the boss to quit. Robin winced at the thought.
She swiftly got off of her bed, and started folding the blankets neatly. She went to the bathroom to apply some face wash. When she finished she did her whole morning routing, breakfast, dressing and applying some make-up.
Robin grabbed her bag and went out of the side door to the garage. She bought a built-in garage with the last money over for her house, she thought it would be convenient. She opened the large garage door, and stepped into the driver's seat. Robin drove backwards, and was off to Babel.
She parked her car in the parking lot, and went upstairs to the entrance of the building. While entering the halls, she tried motivating herself, but to no avail. This was a really drastic choice to make, as the paying was really good. But Robin had to do this, for justice as her mindset was.
When she walked in the elevator, there was only one person in it, wearing a face mask and cap in black, including all his clothes. Robin thought it was a bit suspicious, but went in anyway. She stood as far as she could from the man, his aura felt odd. The doors shut. She pressed on 8, where the office should be.
"Up"
As the elevator went up, the man walked towards you slowly, and she were backing off until her back was pressed against the wall. He then put his hand on her mouth, silencing her, then he took out something heavy, and she felt it on her head, causing her to black out completely.
...
Robin woke up, with a throbbing headache, and she felt light. As if she started recovering from a fever. Just as Robin wanted to reach for her head, she felt rope sting into her wrists, causing her to whimper in pain. She closed her eyes abruptly through the pain. She could not remember what really happened back in the elevator.
"You're awake! I'm glad," a voice spoke, although it was covered up with a fake voice. Robin looked around the room quickly, but there was only one man standing behind her. She couldn't turn around, so she wouldn't know who it was.
"Those allegations are not true. Stop believing them. Your best friend actually hates you, she wanted you to get kidnapped," he got straight to the point. There is no way Cha-young would actually do that to Robin, she thought. That's way too far. "Stop lying. I'm already quitting anyways, so don't get in my way. Cha-young would never," Robin spoke.
"Oh, you don't believe me? How about this then," he pressed a button and the screen in front of you lit up with the memos he has recorded. He tapped on one, and started playing it.
"Oh, that bitch? I don't like her, no way. She is absolutely horrible and disgusting, she thinks she's on top of the world with her employment, but she is not. Why a-," cha-young's voice got cut off abruptly, causing suspicion to brew in Y/N. This feels off to her.
"I've seen that trick in movies, bastard. That's the oldest trick in the book. I'm not stupid like you to fall for that shit," Robin yelled, and felt a foot step on her back harshly, feeling her ribs almost crack, and not in the good way.
"You don't have a choice, dumbass. You will stay as a loyal lawyer. I will kill your most loved ones. If you try to quit, you will regret it for the rest of your life," he threatened.
"You wouldn't dare," Robin spoke harshly.
"Oh, yes, I would. I have enough power for that. So don't try to mess with Babel like that ever again," he whispered in her ear, and she tried looking beside her, but to no avail could she even a bit of his face.
"Why are you hiding your identity?," she questioned loudly. "None of your business. No questions shall be asked. I will be leaving now, bye bye!," he sang the bye in fluent American instead of Korean. Then, a sharp pain flew through her head again, Robin knew she was going to pass out again.
"C..careful! She might not wake up later on, master...," a beautiful timid voice spoke, and that was the last thing she heard before blacking out.
