⇄ ◃◃ ⅠⅠ ▹▹ ↻Robin woke up with her body feeling numb, and she couldn't feel her fingers. The pain was almost unbearable to her, but she had to let it pass by. The sound of the front door unlocking could be heard. Robin sighed, she just accepted fate at this point.
Just then, a worried cha-young runs over to Robin. "Oh my goodness! Are you okay?!," she almost screamed worriedly and gave her a tight hug. "Don't worry, I'm fine," Robin replies trying to gerust stel her with a smile. "Good grief, stop acting like this. I know you are not fine. You got knocked out with a heavy wrench twice!," cha-young exclaimed worriedly.
"To be honest, it's not that serious. I think I'll feel better in a few hours or so," Robin said. She reached for her phone to check the time. "Oh, it's already 7. I'm going to get up," she started to get off her bed slowly to numb the pain. Cha-young notices this and helps her up.
"Thanks, youngie, but I'm really fine. You can go home, I'm wasting your time," Robin almost begs her. "Oh, no! I can't leave you alone like this, anything could happen to you," cha-young denied. She thought it was it was weird and unhuman to leave her best friend like that.
"Come on, youngie, please, I need time to think alone," Robin begs in the most polite way she can. Cha-young eventually gives in to her pleads. "Oh, fine then. But call me if you need anything, okay?," she gave up. Robin nods, and cha-young leaves the house.
Robin walks to the kitchen, preparing some breakfast for the day. She was yet again going to have to go to work, after that threat yesterday. Robin finished her breakfast and went to her bedroom to get ready. She put on her usual work outfit, and applied light and simple make up.
Robin went to her car, heated it up a little and started driving off to work. The words he spoke are still wandering in her mind aimlessly. She stopped at a red light and checked the time on her car. It was now 7:46, almost time to start her paper work at the office, as Babel was suffering with the amount of paperwork that had to be done.
The last lawyer wasn't really active, and never got his work done on time. He always finishes his work after deadline, or never. Thus the chairman got really annoyed by this and had enough, so the chairman fired the lawyer. They were desperately looking for a new one, and when they found Robin they immediately hired her, as she was one of the best lawyers from Akihabara.
Robin arrived at the office, parked her car and locked it, and went inside the building. She was walking down the halls, sometimes greeting a few passerby's. She found her brand new office, and opened the door.
She was in awe, amazed by the interior of the office. It looked really pretty, and Robin was happy about it. She smiled and sat down at her desk, opening the boxes with paperwork. It was a lot. She sighed and started working endlessly.
The amount of paperwork was unbearable, the last lawyer must've been that bad. It can't be helped. After a good 4 hours, Robin had only finished almost not half of the paperwork. She was horribly exhausted. Robin yawned and tears sprung in her eyes from the yawning. She wipes the tears away with a tissue, and just then somebody walked in.
"Are you okay? Why are you crying?," Han Seo asked worriedly, seeing Robin wipe her tears.
"Ah, I'm fine, I just yawned. I didn't really sleep well last night," she assured him. Actually, Robin wasn't exactly fine. She still felt lightheaded, the hit was that bad.
"Oh, okay then, I just came to remind you that you can take a break, you must've been working non stop for hours now," he said. That was true, but Robin would never admit to being exhausted. She thinks that's embarrassing to admit.
"Okay," she simply replied. "Okay, I'll be in my office if you need me. Have a nice day," he said formally and took his leave.
Robin looked around her office, until her eyes landed on a coffee machine. Her eyes had a glint of happiness when she located the machine. Robin carefully put a cup in it and tapped on Frappuccino. The coffee started pouring in the cup until completely full. She took the coffee and sat back down at her desk.
Robin looked at the amount of paperwork. Even though the break was for just 10 more minutes, she thought to already continue her work. Otherwise she would never get out of this place. So, she started working while drinking coffee.
It took Robin another 5 hours to finish this whole thing, and she didn't realize she was busy for that long until she looked at the clock. It was about to turn dark, so Robin quickly handed the paperwork in and started packing her stuff. She went down the stairs to the parking lot, after all, she had learned not to trust elevators anymore. The last time was like hell.
. . .
(Before continueing, the events that happened in Vincenzo are not in order here, so be aware of that.)
Robin drove home, and she suddenly got a phone call. She swiped left. "Hello?," Robin spoke. "Robin! You're finally picking up! I need a place to stay!," cha-young was panicking. "What? Why?," she was taken aback by the question. "Someone broke into my house, and the window is broken so I can't sleep there," cha-young replied.
"Hmm, okay, sure..," Robin spoke slowly, trying to concentrate on the road, as the car in front was driving slower second by second, and she couldn't get past. "Thanks a lot! I'll be coming over in a few minutes,"cha-young felt relieved, as she could feel through the call.
Suddenly, the car in front of her stopped. Robin almost didn't make the brake, so she made a honk loudly. People in black started stepping out of the car, she eyed them suspiciously. It took her a few seconds to realize she had to hit the hay and get out of there.
Robin drove backwards, and past the car while bullets hit her back window, making her duck a bit before she could get shot. She speeded down the road, with the car chasing her. The car got closer and closer, but Robin didn't give up and started going max speed down the highway, down to a busy city. When she reached, she parked her car on a random spot, and ran inside a busy restaurant. The people were still behind her, and chased Robin.
She eventually found a good hiding spot, and took out her phone and called cha-young. It took her a bit to pick up. "Robin? Where are you? I'm at your house right now, in front of the door," she said calmly, with little to no idea what was happening.
"Cha-young! I'm getting chased by some hitmen or something, wearing all black. They won't stop, and I'm hiding right now in a busy restaurant, you can't stay at my place right now I'm afraid, I apologize deeply," Robin said in one breathe, whispering as she shouldn't be heard. "Robs? Are you okay? Hold on a second, send me your location and I'll be there," cha-young said. "Okay," Y/N whispered.
She started sending her location to cha-young, which was hard with the bad internet. Eventually, it was sent and read by Cha-young. "Hold on a second, I'm coming," cha-young said in a worried tone. "Alright tha-," before Robin could finish, her phone was kicked to the ground harshly, causing a crack in her screen. She looked behind her, and she knew that she was in danger.
"What do you want from me?!," Robin whisper-yelled, hoping someone could hear her. The gang remained silent, only blinking as response. Could it be Morse code? No wait, that's not possible, she thought. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?," Robin taunted. The people grabbed her sleeve, and dragged her out of the restaurant. No one bat an eye.
She was alone, or so she thought, until Robin felt the people letting go of her roughly. Surprised, she looked behind her, only to see a man in a suit. He was wearing a cap and mask, so she couldn't figure out his identity. She got up and started fighting some of the men to help the man. When they both finished, Robin thanked the man, but he had already left.
