Time Taken: One day

Jake shuffled uncomfortably in his seat, the first few weeks of school hadn't turned out at all good for him. People wouldn't stop picking on him, and what made it worse was now that there were lockers at this middle school, he got shoved into them without his will.

He absolutely hated it.

Jake had learned, that he needed to cover up his passion. Never let anyone know the real you. Because it was safer, better

Everybody in this whole school hated him. He had nothing to lose. When he had gotten home during the first day of school, his father had asked him how his day had went. Jake had just replied with 'fine' and went to his bedroom. That night he had said he wasn't hungry, which most likely worried his mother and father, and he almost had cried himself to sleep.

Almost.

He ended up going downstairs, thinking that maybe if he told his parents they could do something to make him feel better, but what he saw was a note:

Hey Hun! Your fathers going to be out of the house for today, he's hanging out with a few friends but he'll be home at nine o'clock alright? And I had to go to work, I don't know when I'll be home but stay safe hun! - Sincerely, Mom.

Surely enough, he ended up taking care of his six year old, energetic younger brother, Milo. He didn't have anything against his little brother. But Milo was so energetic that it was hard to get him to sleep. Usually, when Jake was sure he had successfully put Milo to bed, Milo would run down the stairs and scare the living daylights out of Jake.

Back to the present,

He didn't know how he felt. He absolutely didn't like this school. And it was just the third week of school, he wished he had someone. He wished someone felt compassionate for him, but he doubted anyone would feel like that for him out of all people

The young boy, lost in his thoughts didn't realize who was coming over to him. And before he knew it, he was being shoved against a cheery blue locker. He stared into the ocean blue eyes of his bully, who disliked Jake with all his blithering soul, Jason.

As Jake struggled to get out of his bullies harsh, tight grasp Jason snickered at Jake's attempts, letting Jake helplessly wiggle around.

"How's the freaks day going?" Jason asked, Jake knew he didn't solemnly, genuinely want to know about how his day was going. Jake had learnt this elementary school and he didn't need a reminder

"Fine without you." Jake hissed, he wasn't up for Jason's crap today.

"Maybe this is why nobody likes you." Jason hissed back, grabbing the maya blue music notebook out of Jake's hands, making the shorter, peach haired boy widen his eyes in fear. Jason let go of Jake's hands and Jake fell to the floor.

Jake inhaled sharply, immediately getting up and trying to snag his notebook out of his bullies hands. Jason opened the blue book and started ripping out its contents. When Jake finally managed to get his notebook back around half of the pages in the book had been ripped out, half of the song lyrics Jake had created shredded out of the notebook

"What was the point of that?!" Jake yelled to Jason, at the sudden outburst of the eleven year old some people around the corridors looked over to them, hungry for a fight to erupt.

Sure enough, they got that fight they wanted.

Jason suddenly lunged at the shorter boy, causing Jake to stumble back and his butt hit the hard, tiled floor. Causing Jake to groan in pain.

Jake didn't have a single minute to react before the blonde got on top of the peach haired boy and started hitting him. Jake yelled at the sudden flare of pain in his body, he attempted at grabbing the taller boys hands to avert them away from his body but the results were unsuccessful as Jason was much more stronger and huskier than he was.

This wasn't Jake's first time in his school experience being taken down by one of his bullies, this was his second time, the first time was a small quarrel turned physical fight with his other bully, Joshua.

He felt Jason being pulled off of him and Jake being dragged the opposite way of were the taller, blonde boy was heading. Jake's eyes were wavering as the person who was dragging him and Jake himself came to a stop, in a storage closet. He felt a few towels on his face, he would've thought it was the nurses office if it wasn't for the smell. The storage closet was dusty and smelled stuffy, almost suffocating. However, the nurses office would normally smell like a hospital.

"Wh-who are y-you..?" Jake stuttered in question, his eyes slowly adjusting to the dim lighting of the schools storage closet

"Oh, I'm March. I'm in your first and sixth period." They answered, his eyes finally adjusting to the light he could see her figure

She had a straight posture, bending over to bandage him up, yet her back stayed straight up. She had pale, light skin with rosy cheeks and brown, mysterious eyes. She had fluffy, messy baby blue colored hair that brushed out of the way of her round, obsidian colored glasses

She opened her mouth to speak, but Jake got there first, "O-okay.. uh... I'm Jake.."

She smiled cheekily at him, "well, that's a nice name."

"Thanks... I've never hear- heard the name M-March used f-for a person before.." he muttered, hoping that he hadn't offended her. Thankfully, it didn't seem like he did.

"Aw, thanks! Anyways, do you want me to walk you to your next class?" March asked, offering him a hand to help him up

Jake timidly smiled and nodded, taking ahold of her hand and pulling himself up. The bell rang, it's tune echoing across the corridors as him and March exited the storage closet.

You know what... maybe middle school wouldn't be that bad.

He made a friend.
