Bethany had been asked to stay in the classroom after school by her second grade teacher, Ms. Lavish. Although Bethy had no clue why she would've been asked to stay behind she had no choice but to, this was her teacher for heavens sake.

So when the bell rang and her other classmates hurried out of the class, Hannah giving her a quick 'good luck' glance and rushing out with them. But Bethany knew better than to think Hannah would go outside to enjoy the luxury of going home that was granted to them, Hannah was a massive eavesdropper.

She heard her teacher clear her throat in order to get Bethany's attention, judging from the look on her teachers face it was best to. So, Bethany slowly walked up to her teachers desk and stood, silently, patiently.

"Bethany." Ms. Lavish greeted. Her sapphire blue eyes practically staring into Bethany's soul.

Bethany inhaled shakily, "You asked for me to stay behind?"

"Oh, yes. Go ahead and grab a chair and sit." Her teacher replied, Bethany did as instructed, grabbing a chair and sitting herself down in front of the teachers desk.

"Well, Bethany, I have noticed your grades have been... well, slipping" Ms. Lavish began, "And I also noticed that your grades are F's and D's which I promise you is not a passing grade."

Bethany simply just nodded, she had seen her failing grades on the school's app. Each student and parent was allowed to see their grades for each subject in their class.

"Now, I will admit, your grade is quite well for reading and writing. You have a wide vocabulary which is quite stunning if I must say." She complimented, leaving Bethany a bit surprised. Ms. Lavish rarely complimented her on anything.

"But," Ms. Lavish started, putting her hand onto Bethany's arm. "I do expect better in the other subjects."

She started digging her sharp, gnarly nails into Bethany's skin. The seven year old held back a whimper as her teacher continued to speak (and dig her nails into Bethany's skin).

"You are the only one in my class, other than David, to have grades like these, I expect you to be much more better than this." She snarled, "I will hope you do better in the future, Bethany Sandra Wickham, that is why I decided to give you all the assignments you turned in that need to be corrected or completed. Do you understand?" Ms. Lavish said, her nails pressing into Bethany's skin.

"And if you do not get your grades to a passing grade, at least a C, by next week I will not hesitate to tell your parents about that disgusting relationship of yours."

How did she know about her and Fiona?

Bethany could already imagine what Ms. Lavish would say: 'They make out in the halls!' Bethany could imagine her saying to her parents. The teacher made it clear she was a homophobe, on the first day of school she went into a full blowout about all the sexualities and what made it "weird and unnatural".

Bethany thought that Ms. Lavish would go crazy when she found out about Bethany liking girls, not use it as blackmail for Bethany to get a passing grade.

"Y-yes ma'am..." Bethany choked out. Her teacher smiled and took her hand off of Bethany's arm. Bethany sighed in relief, even though Ms. Lavish's nails had left a few marks in her skin.

"And also, you give them back to me tomorrow. That's the deadline."

(A/N: bro this teachers sucks a-)

Her teacher passed her a pile of past assignments that Bethany hadn't gotten done on time or hadn't gotten a good grade on. She knew she would be staying up all night completing these.

After a few more words had been exchanged Bethany was finally free to leave the classroom, and right when she did she begun on an assignment. She didn't even realize she had walked passed Hannah until she felt the girl tap her shoulder.

"Bethany!" Hannah yelped, holding her phone in her hand, "I recorded it!"

"And?" Bethany said, not looking up as she hurriedly scribbled notes onto the paper.

"We could report her to the principal since I recorded that whole conversation!" Hannah said, putting her hand onto Bethany's shoulder.

"Then the principal would figure out and then my parents would figure out about me and Fiona, you know that..." Bethany whispered, finally looking up at her brunette haired friend.

Hannah sighed, "I know! But the way she's treating you ain't good!"

"I know Hannah... it just... things.." Bethany replied, sitting down on the grass to wait for her parents.

Yes, Hannah laughed at the teasing and remarks Ms. Lavish addressed to Bethany, but she honestly hated Ms. Lavish's guts. Not as much as Bethany did though.

"Okay, but Bethany..." Hannah said, sitting down next to Bethany, "you should still talk to someone about this. She's not a good teacher!"

Suddenly, Bethany heard a car honk. She recognized it as her moms car. Bethany shoved everything in her backpack and stood up.

"See you tomorrow." Bethany muttered, walking away from Hannah.

"Mhm, you too..." Hannah sighed.
