The Split World: The Prophecy in the Woods

-Chapter Six: First Mission-

~Jasmine's Pov~

The past few days have been rough as I struggled with the no changes from Shadow. For instance my breathing, with him exploding the bridge of my nose I've found it harder to do physical tasks for long periods of time. I try breathing through my mouth but its difficult since im not use to it at all.

I will say the only good thing to come from this week is hearing that i'll go on my first official mission. From what Asahi said we're supposed to be bodyguards for this one rich family. Which quickly made me uninterested. I don't want to deal with some rich stuck up, little shits. But it's not like i have much of a choice, so i went along with it.

We got suited up then made our way to the house. We had to take a taxi, Asahi said it would take a while to get there on foot. The family's house is near the ocean and from what Fiadh showed me they have a nice beach. Of course these ass-hats live near a beach.

We finally arrived and the house was huge. Though smaller than what i thought but still pretty big nonetheless. Asahi rang the doorbell and it played a nice short tone, and a few seconds later a slightly taller woman than me, with isn't surprising with my 4'10 height, answered the door with a warm smile.

"Hello!" she said, sticking out her hands and shaking ours, "I'm Vespa Armado, I assume you're the bodyguards we ordered?"

"Yep that's us ma'am" Asahi said

"Oh good to know your not here to kill me"

"Who said we weren't"

A moment of silence fell before the two adults broke out into laughter. She invited us inside and went to go get the rest of the family. As she ran off the light blue dress she's wearing, that made her dark skin seem to pop a bit, flowed swiftly. Within a few minutes three more people came into the room.

"Good day, I'm Doug Armado."

Doug is about Asahi's height. He has skin that is darker than Teal's and he has a buzz cut that is the color of silver.

He then pointed to the two kids next to him, "His is my eldest son, Kaleb. And my youngest son, Darren."

Kaleb looked to be around the same age as Teal and Fiadh. He looks nearly identical to his father down to the silver hair and the yellow eyes with diamond shaped pupils. Among the similarities, the distinction between the two exists as Kaleb's complexion is lighter and his build is bigger than his parents.

On the other hand, Darren looked like a totally oddball. His skin is snow white, his hair is a golden blonde color and his eyes are soft blue. But yet he still had some of his parents features like: his mom's shaper facial and his dad's diamond shaped pupils.

The two boys bowed to us and then we had to introduce ourselves. Luckily Asahi took the initiative to do it for us.

"I am Rogue. These two are Teal and Ultra Plasma" Asahi looked over at me wanting me to introduce myself

"My name is Jasmine"

I noticed Teal and Fiadh slap their faces.

"Please excuse her, she's new. But we normally do not reveal our names as a way of protecting ourselves. Please excuse us."

Asahi lightly grabbed my arm and walked me away from the group of people. "What's the problem, I didn't do anything?"

"Your not supposed to use your real name. Now im not mad, because i didn't tell you beforehand. But just think of a new name alright?"

"But why though. Teal's able to use their name"

"Teal is...well they're a different case. Just please think of something"
