~Fiadh's POV~
A random girl, and a creepy book named Virgil....awesome! It felt like it was straight out of a superhero comic or something like that. Am I in a comic book!? Eh- I kinda hope not...sounds like a lot of work. Even though I wouldn't want to be that side character that ends up dying.
Virgil floated slightly above the three of us and looked down as Teal tried to move me out of there.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?" The ground started to shake and a huge wall of dirt and rocks blocked us from moving forward. "Can't have you going off running your mouth."
"And so what if we tell someone?" Teal asked
"I'll kill the bald guy"
It's..threatening to kill Asahi...Fuck that not on my watch.
I ran up to Virgil pulling out a small knife from my pouch on my belt. I moved quickly and attempted a jab at it but dodge the attack. Using lighting to its advantage to move quicker, Virgil appeared behind me in no time. It started laughing, then from its purple eye a lighting bolt zoomed out and struck me in the back.
"Hey what the hell!" Teal yelled out rushing to me as i fell to the ground
I reassured them letting them know I'm ok. Virgil and Jasmine talked about something but I wasn't paying attention.
"We need to get that book away from her. It's quite clear its not going to positively help." Teal whispered
"Yeah i get what you mean. But it seems Virgil's got a tight hold on her"
"Virgil?"
"The book dumbass" I said jokingly
"Imagine learning the inanimate object's name"
"Imagine handcuffing a girl on an rocket plane"
"FIADH! Your making it sound worse than it is"
"Nah i'm pretty sure your in the wrong for that" I said giving them a suspicious look
"How about I push you off a bridge?" They said flicking my forehead
"Bet. When and where!"
The sound of Jasmine clearing her throat broke us out of our conversation.
"You two aren't going to say anything correct?" she stared at us with cold eyes. I felt uneasy, like a negative energy washed over me.
"We really don't have a choice do we?" i asked coming to my feet
"I mean the choice is yours. But either way there's consequences."
We all stood there in silence before Asahi came out, easing the mood. I noticed how Virgil stopped floating and went back to being a "normal" book.
"Fiadh, Teal! Why don't you two show Jasmine around Kinra. Being in a new area won't be easy for her."
"Oh yes this will be fun" Teal said throwing jazz hands sarcastically
Me and Teal put our suits into "casual mode" which allows us to wear our normal clothes but also be ready to suit up whenever danger's afoot. I wore a rainbow tee and over that a pair of overalls. Teal wore a white hoodie with the sleeves being black and white checkered and put on some black sunglasses to cover their eyes and their scar.
I've never actually seen it before. When i met Teal they had it already, when i asked about it they'll always say that they fall off a bike scraped their face. But i highly doubt it, it seems bigger to just be a fall.
