I groaned, almost slamming my head down on the cafeteria table. I was still being paraded by Rowan and Zaylee. After I had already explained the entire situation.

"This is a big deal!" Zaylee squealed excitedly.

I began nibbling on my peanut-butter and jelly sandwich. I had already lost most of my appetite when I watched Zaylee and Rowan grab their lunch.

Don't ask, I'm not a hundred percent sure what it is myself. At the front of the lunch line, there were different sections with sets of glasses that were lined up. Each section had a tag, labeling the different blood types.

I shuddered. It freaked me out. Where did they even get the blood? I didn't want to become the next glass of B-negative blood.

So, I just rushed to an empty table where Rowan and Zaylee later sat down and continued to interrogate me.

They each had a tray of food along with a glass cup. I was about to puke, but nibbling on my food a bit seemed to help.

I just want to leave and never come back. I'm still having a hard time wrapping the whole vampire idea around my head.

Waverly's little show with her fangs still has me shaking. I felt like I was going to die. Who wouldn't?

"It's not a big deal," I mumbled, looking away to avoid staring at their drinks.

They both glanced at each other before turning back towards me with a worried expression.

"You know, you're looking a little sick," Rowan commented, setting down her drink. I shuddered again.

Zaylee took a sip of hers before slowly setting hers down after Rowan. She scooted her glasses close to me with two of her fingers.

I stared at it before looking up at her with a confused expression.

"You should really drink something. Did you have any this morning?" She asked.

I took in a ragged breath and looked at them both. What am I supposed to say? That I don't drink blood? Definitely not.

I mentally cracked my knuckles. Time to put on my great acting skills.

"It's, uh, fine. I had some this morning." Lie. I failed miserably to try and create an actual sentence.

So much for my great acting skills. I could tell that they didn't believe me. Heck, I wouldn't believe me. I sounded so unsure.

"No, you need at least a glass. What's your favorite? I'll go get you one." Rowan persisted.

It was the same question the nurse had asked me. She sighed and started to get up from her seat. My eyes widened and I reached my hands out to stop her.

"No!" I slightly yelled, "It's fine, really. I'm still feeling all the 'new girl' nerves." I coughed and fake smiled.

Rowan stared at me, studying my face. She was trying to detect if I was lying or not.

"Are you sure?" She asked before slowly sitting down next to Zaylee again.

"Yes, of course. I'm okay." I insisted.

I needed them to believe me. Or else, I could be dead before next week. Suddenly, I felt a whole lot worse about attending this school.

"Fine. You win this time." Rowan joked a bit and gave me the evil eye.
