Chapter 9: Lies and beginings

Natsu P.O.V

Darkness... coldness... but i can feel her hand intertwind with mine.

Lucy P.O.V

My chest burned and everything around me was pitch black. I felt alone until i realised i was holding Natsu's hand.

I squezed his hand, and he did the same reassuring me.

I took and deep breath and bravely spoke, "N-Natsu? Can you hear me?"

He squeezed my hand harder, "Yes I can! Oh thank goodness!"

His voice did not sound like he was next to me, thats when i realised our arms must be streached.

"Hey, pull me closer to you." He responded by pulling me gently by arm, until i could feel his arm.

"Okay good, now feel around you and be careful." We both did this, making sure not to let go of each other.

My hand touched a cold surface in front of me, "I think I found a wall!"

" Well, i think i found a torch, on the wall." He said.

"Great! Turn it on!"

"No, its not that. kind of torch... its the kind you have you light with fire... hold on a second."

He tried to get his arm out of my grip, but i didnt let him.

He chuckled, "Lucy its just for second, im not going to go anywhere i promise."

I slowly let go. I heard him take a deep breath, and fire escaped from his mouth. Before we knew it we could see each other again.

He turned around to face me, "Ah... theres that pretty face."

I blushed and looked infront of us, "Hey...um Natsu? I-I think we are in a hall way?"

I pointed into the never ending darkness infront of us.

"Maybe your right... look theres another torch." He observed.

"There must be more on the wall. We should keep walking, and every time you see a torch, light it."

He nodded and we kept walking, and i was right about the torch thing. We walked for a long time, turning many corners and proceeding down dark stair cases.

After a while Natsu spoke, "I know this a late question but, were do you think we are?"

I shrugged, "I dont know... but this is creepy and strange!"

"I know right! First we were making out on the beach, and now this?"

I blushed and punched his arm, "Dont say it like that!"

"Well how else am i suppose to say it? "Lip hugging-" He bashed into the a wall infront of him, interrupting his sentence.

I giggled, "Watch out for the wall idiot."

He mummbled something angrily, but i couldnt help but laugh at him.

Natsu P.O.V

We kept walking. I either walked into walls, or fell down stairs... but every time i took another step, i sensed danger. But i didnt want to scare Lucy, so i didnt say anything.

"This is hopeless!" She blurted out, "We have been walking for ages, and havnt found away out... I mean, come on, we must have found away out by now-"

She suddenly stoped, and grabbed my arm. I looked down at her. She was staring infront of her, and fear coverd her face. I looked in the direction she was looking.

"Luce, whats wron-"

A few meters away from us, was a dark figure. Just standing, watching us. I immediatly reacted. I pushed Lucy behind me and stood my ground.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I asked sternly.

The dark figure didnt answer.

"I said, who are you?! And what do you want?!"

Without responding, it started to walk towards us. Lucy held on to the back of my vest.

"N-Natsu-" She suttered.

"Its okay." I told her.

She slowly came out from behind me and spoke, "Do you have any idea why we are here? If you do, please tell us!"

An evil chuckle came from the figure. And it finally walked into the light, coming into view. Lucy gasped.

Lucy P.O.V

I gasped in shock as she looked at me, "L-Linara?"

Natsu's mother?

"What are you doing here? Are you here to help us?" I asked.

She smiled and evil smile, "No, my dear princess... Im here to kill you."

What?!

Her pink hair turned black, and her beatiful silver eyes turned red. Her white dress was now black and tattered.

"Lucy! Who is this person?!" Natsu asked me holding my arm tightly.

But as i was about to respond, we were thrown back and hit the wall behind us. Linara laughed and made her way towards us.

"RUN!" I yelled pulling him up. We ran through another hall way. We could hear her evil cackeling behind us.

After a while we stopped running, a dead end layed out infront of us.

"Great!" I said through my teeth.

"Theres no escaping me!"

She was standing infront of us now, blocking our only way passed her.

"I can take her!" Natsu yelled, "FIRE DRAGONS ROAR!"

He used all the magic he could, but it wasnt affecting her.

She laughed, "Stupid boy!"

She broke the wall using telekinisis, and hurld it towards Natsu. Using his strengh he held it back, struggling.

"Lucy! Who-who is this?! Aah!" His muscles in his arms tensed because of the pressure.

"Its your mother Natsu!" I shouted.

He looked at me over his shoulder, still trying to hold back the wall, "I dont have. A mother Lucy!"

"Thats what you say, but Linara told me you have no memory of her! Because she died when you were young!"

He broke the wall with his fire magic, but she kept hurling more at him. I could tell he was getting tired.
"Lucy! Both my real parents were murdered infront of me! Igneel just took me in after that! I have never met this women! She lied to you!"

What!

I was shocked and confussed, but i had to put that aside! I needed to find away out of here! Before Natsu gets hurt. Then it struck me...

I took out my celestial keys and summond, "OPEN! GATE OF THE SPIRITS! VIRGO!"

Virgo appeard infront of me, and looked around her in shock, "Oh my princess!"

Natsu heard her and looked over his shoulder, "Got a plan?!" He asked.

I told him my plan was that we would go through the spirit world with Virgo, because i suspected that we were trapped in another dimension.

"What!" He shouted," I have only ever done that once, and by accident! What if it doesnt work!"

"Please Natsu! Please! Lets just try!" I begged.

He hesiated, but eventually ran towards me and Virgo, "Quickly!" He shouted looking at Linara fearfully.

"Do it Virgo!" I shouted," NOW!"
