A few minutes later, Molly smiled as she stared at Andra who was standing before the mirror, hooked on her reflection.
She had just finished plaiting Andra's hair into a quick long braid as she didn't have much time before she would have to rejoin Dominic in the car.
Andra was now in a black evening dress with red mid-heel sandals. She looked stunning and was wearing vibrant red lipstick to go with her red shoes.
"You look simple and outstanding."
"I agree. Thank you."
"You look like a lady."
"Oh, please."
"Hmm. Dominic will be uh...affected."
"Don't even go there."
"Yeah. Pardon me. I forgot that this is simply business."
"Exactly. This is just business. Which is why I hate that I have to be forced to dress like this. You don't know how much I hate him. I mean, he is just a taxi driver and is so full of himself. I can't stand him."
"Hmm. I think he's a real man. Fearless regardless of his status."
Andra glared at her. "As I said, you are always saying the wrong things."
The car horn honked and Andra rolled her eyes as Molly pointed at the door. "Better go before your pretend prince charming gives you any issues."
Andra shook her head at Molly, indicating that she would not dignify her statement with any response. Then she started heading out of the room.
"Have fun," Molly said but Andra ignored her and slammed the door shut. All she heard was Molly's amused laughter as she walked away. Her cousin could be so annoying.
Outside, from the car, Dominic watched Andra approach, impressed by her change. Wow. He knew she was pretty but in this completely womanly outfit, her feminine curves were brought to light. She was stunning. At least now he would be on a date with a woman and not a boy. If he would have to pretend, he had to enjoy the pretense. It was as simple as that.
He came down from the vehicle and opened the door for her. He saw the look of surprise on her face, but quietly, she entered the car. He shut it and rejoined her, taking the driver's seat.
"I guess you're satisfied now." She said grumpily.
"Why do you think I opened the door for you?"
"Oh, I forgot, now I look like a damn lady."
He started driving away from the compound, only pausing at the gate for the security to let them out.
"A beautiful lady." He corrected.
"Whatever."
"I guess you cannot take a compliment."
"Not the one coming from you."
He ignored what he considered her tantrum. "I guess that's why you can't give compliments either."
"I see I hurt your feelings by failing to compliment how extremely hot you look today." The words had just left her mouth when she realized that she had acknowledged his attractiveness. Regret immediately encompassed her.
His eyebrows lifted, having equally realized her reluctantly given admission. He smirked at her.
"Thanks."
Her cheeks reddened with embarrassment but she quickly put a rein on her feelings.
"I wasn't complimenting you."
