The reunion

You watched as the figure dropped off the rope it was sliding down on and landed in the water.
"Didn't stick the landing," Polly muttered.
You were frozen in shock and happiness.
"Hang on a second," Anne pushed past the plantars.
The figure coughed in a high voice and pulled out a journal. "Okay so, a Newtonian zipline can hold up an average human girl for 2.3 seconds..." (HOW THE HELL DID I MEMORISE THAT)
"Marcy?" Anne asked as the figure stood up.
Marcy turned around and took off her hood. "Anne?"
"Marcy!"
"Anne!"
They embraced each other in a hug.
"Are any of the others with you?" Marcy asked.
Anne smirked. "Just the one."
She pointed to you as you waved shyly. "Hey Mars."
Marcy's happy tears increased as she ran towards you, knocking you down from the force she hugged you with.
"I missed youuuu!" She hugged you tighter, burying her head into your shoulder.
"I missed you too sunshine," you kissed her cheek.
She pulled away from the hug. "You missed."
She pressed your lips together, just for a few seconds.
But for you, it felt like eternity.
You were finally back with the love of your life.
And you were planning to keep each other safe, no matter what.

Bonus scene
"So," Sprig turned to Anne. "Are you gonna introduce us?"
Anne put a finger to his mouth. "Let the lovers enjoy their reunion."
